I remember when the Metallica thread went down the drain and I was blamed :upset:. My spamming was actually the main reason though.

Rothmans 09-04-2005 04:45 PM

Well I lookked back a bit well L.A is a haven for freaks and fakes to put it its a really bad place its horrible.

Faaip de Oiad means the Voice of God.

In a couple of minutes I will post up stuff I have found on the site I have only found three things though one of them has already been shown.

I also found some stuff on dissectional like danny carey's top 10 album's.

L Ron Hubbard made up this crazy religion but its there beliefs not mine if they want to get screwed over in money for "enlightenment" thats fine with me.

Welcome to the club!

And I actually think Ticks And Leeches matches the flow of the album quite well.. I see it, and the track Lateralus as the "climax" of the album
Any tool news in the past 4 days?

....hey guys....
Not really.

98 Rock has been doing request for the hurricane donations, and "Lateralus" was played. That was cool. It was even cooler, because it was on the ride home from seeing Mudvayne/Shadows Fall/In Flames/Trivium. :D

Adam Jones is GOD 09-04-2005 05:15 PM
Mudvayne/Shadows Fall/In Flames/Trivium. :D
Totally my opinion, but that looks like a sandwich made from amazing bread, with stale, boring ham and medicore cheese in it

Syncratic 09-04-2005 05:16 PM

Trivium are good musicians, but the lyrics and the vocals are so overdone, it was a turnoff.

Dude3 09-04-2005 05:19 PM
Totally my opinion, but that looks like a sandwich made from amazing bread, with stale, boring ham and medicore cheese in it
That was good.

I really love In Flames. They're just undeniabley talented. I also really like Shadows Fall. Trivium, I'm not really fans of them. Mudvayne, I do like. I wouldn'e neccasarily call them "talented"(well, the bassist sure is). They kinda just stem from my days of likeing Nu Metal. Their first record still pwns IMO.

So for me, it something like:
In Flames>>Shadows Fall>>>>>>>>>>>>Mudvayne>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Trivium

Don't get me wrong though. I think Trivium are really talented. I could get into them. And I still love Mudvayne.

Oh yeah, Jannus Landing = Best concert venue ever!

Syncratic 09-04-2005 05:20 PM

The bassist from Mudvayne is amazing.....the rest of the band is bland and uninspiring.

Dried Muffin Remnants 09-04-2005 05:22 PM

Atmospheric concert: Tool/Isis/Opeth/Meshuggah/Massive Attack

Upbeat concert: SOAD/Primus/The Mars Volta(can apply to both)

These would be my ideal concerts. I know that Tool and Radiohead are too big to open for one another...however, if that weren't the case - I'd definitely have Radiohead in my atmospheric concert.

denboy 09-04-2005 05:24 PM

Most of Mudvayne's music is kind of boring, they have a few great songs though.. And imo, bar the guitarist, all of the members are reasonably talented...

In Flames aren't writing good songs anymore, but from what I've gathered, they absolutely kick live.. and next time I get thechance, I'm definately going to see them.

Dude3 09-04-2005 05:29 PM

Yeah, old In Flames is the good stuff. And they are amazing live! Huge stage presence.

Even though most of you may not like them, Shadows Fall are great onstage. This was my second time seeing them, and it was incredible(for anyone that cares, they played "The Light that Blinds"). They're right up there with In Flames on concerts. I also think they are really talented. Them and Lamb of God are the only "NWOAHM" bands I like, bar Mastodon and some Killswitch if they both count.

Mudvayne, I can understand if you don't like them. I think they're first album is brilliant. The bassist is just amazing. Guitarist is boring. Drummer can be good. The singer has a good sound, but not the best use of it live. Its much better in the recordings. They put on a good show too, but Shadows Fall and In Flames surpass them by far.

Mr Herb 09-04-2005 05:30 PM
The bassist from Mudvayne is amazing.....the rest of the band is bland and uninspiring.
drummer is pretty good too

Darkness 09-04-2005 05:31 PM

Funny In Flames was brought up, I'm listening to Colony now. One of my favorite bands, but the 2 newest albums aren't that good.

It's because I haven't been around that much, or maybe there's no Tool news.

Actually Primus is really atmospheric in their concerts. Have you seen Hallucinogenics?

Kage 09-04-2005 05:48 PM

There hasn't been Tool news in a loooong time, though.

And, I'm 17 as well, by the way.

Moses 09-04-2005 05:53 PM

I wonder if there's been Tool news since this thread started.

Kage 09-04-2005 06:10 PM

I was wondering the same thing...and I really can't remember anything substantial. I've been around since the conception of this thread, and, really, besides the fact that they were working on a new album, there hasn't been any news.

But at first, there were plenty of things to talk about. Now we've talked about all of that ten-fold.

Epigoth 09-04-2005 06:11 PM

uuu

Moses 09-04-2005 06:12 PM

Ok?

That line-up could never be more perfect.

Darkness 09-04-2005 06:13 PM

Yes there has, the Lateralus vinyl was realeased.

Kage 09-04-2005 06:13 PM

I don't really consider that substantial news.

Darkness 09-04-2005 06:14 PM

Well its still news. What kind of news do you want? The new cd released? The threads only been here like a year.

Syncratic 09-04-2005 06:15 PM

Okay, let's talk philosophy:

I would hate to see Radiohead and Tool together... Two of my favorite bands at one show would be too much hehe

Kage 09-04-2005 06:17 PM
Well its still news. What kind of news do you want? The new cd released? The threads only been here like a year.
If you call the Lateralus vinyl being released substantial news, then there's been plenty of stuff like that.

Darkness 09-04-2005 06:20 PM

Really? What else have they released in the past year?

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-04-2005 06:31 PM

OMG GUYS! You MUST have heard about King Buzzo being in the recording studio WITH TOOL!!!

Lateralus vinyl is equal to the substantiality of King Buzzo's presence.

Something that may be of your personal interest: I finally picked up a new guitar cable, so now I am again fully equipped with tons of effects, meaning I can record a crapload of useless Tool songs!

And if you guys are lucky, some Porcupine Tree. :-D

Darkness 09-04-2005 06:34 PM

Whatever, I thought the Lateralus vinyl was pretty cool, and I can't wait to pick it up this week.

Just wanted to let ya'll know.

Darkness 09-04-2005 06:46 PM

You didn't really leave anything discuss... You pretty much just stated your thoughts on some stuff. Which is cool by the way, but what do you want us to say... I pretty much agree with you.
