On the whole I don't like NPFTD, there are some great songs on it though.

The assassin, running silent running deep, and the Mighty Tailgunner are awesome, and Holy smoke and BYDTTS, aren't bad...

ashman 11-11-2005 01:37 PM
there are exceptions, but a lot of the songs are rather weak IMO
Some are weak, but there are some corkers on 'em.

NPFD: Tailguner, NPFD, Holy Smoke, Public Enema number one, BYDTTS, Running Silent Running Deep and Mother Russia make up for it.

FOTD: From here to Eternity, ATSS, Childhood's end, Wasting Love, Judas be my guide and FOTD are classics.

I actually think the Killers album is weaker.

blackthorne 11-11-2005 01:40 PM

i prefer FOTD as an album to NOTB as an album NOTB has to be my least favorite and i havnt heard NPFTD

The only weak tracks on there are...The two instrumentals and Prodigal son, and Innocent exile.

I love the rest in a non-sexual fashion

Josh 11-11-2005 02:07 PM

personally, i think the studio version of FOTD is weak, just not as energetic as the live version.

123, the melody that the crowd sing along to is played weirdly too.

I know, It's a long way away.

What are you guys' opinions on 'Live at Castle Donnington'

Lord Abortion 11-11-2005 04:59 PM

I would say it was the live album to buy last, because the setlist is the same as A real dead one...with some stuff from a real live one thrown in...
so, unless it's cheap, wait 'til last.

Josh 11-11-2005 04:59 PM

i've only heard odd songs, but if it's the Live at Donnington '92 you mean, it should be good. twas when Adrian wasn't in, but he got up and played Running Free with them i think.

andyhainey 11-11-2005 05:15 PM

its quite good IMO
