Excuse me, Daddy Day Care is hilarious. I don't know what you're talking about.

That's our Eddie Murphy. He only does movies because he feels they are well-written and not because he has a mortage to pay.

ATM 06-20-2005 07:58 PM

You know who has made some shitty movies? Ice Cube. His latest one looks like an all-time low.

Daddy Day Care was not well written though. It was just lame.

Cain 06-20-2005 07:59 PM
That's what rewrites are for.

Actually, the inspiration for the story came partially from that episode of Star Trek. I was also reading Bradbury at the time, so that sort fo rubbed off.

Did you read the other one as well?
I missed it. I'll check it out later. I love Bradbury's eerier work.

I hope you didn't take offense at my criticism. :-/

Lucas should change his username to Misunderstood.
I saw the new Batman. If you can get past a couple of cheesy moments, it's a good flick.
Not too many cheesy moments, though, I only counted one. I thought it was an amazing movie.

It's on the same page, just a few posts back.

And criticism is the only way it's going to get good, isn't it?

"The fledgling romance between Nick, a playboy bachelor, and Suzanne, a divorced mother of two, is threatened by a particularly harrowing New Year's Eve. When Suzanne's work keeps her in Vancouver for the holiday, Nick offers to bring her kids to the city from Portland, Oregon. The kids, who have never liked any of the men their mom has dated, are determined to turn the trip into a nightmare for Nick."

Weird! I just found an mp3 on my computer of a McDonalds commercial from 1979. It's so funny.

I read it. Is it odd that I pictured Miles as Morgan Freeman and Sam as Brad Pitt?

Interestingly, I actually pictured Liam Neeson and Tom Welling, respectively.

For Mayor Paul Ward and Katrina, by the way, I was thinking of Ray Liota and Jessica Alba.

Well, as soon as I read Miles I just pictured him as being black, and who better to play an experienced black detective than Morgan Freeman.

Did you read the other two I put up, by the way?

I didn't see them. What pages are they on?

Steerpike 06-20-2005 08:52 PM

580. One's a short story, and one's an incomplete screenplay.
