who me?

Janeway 11-16-2005 03:31 PM

Yeah.
It was the avatar I think.

On another note, I'm going to the Board of Education meeting tonight with a group of counterparts to lobby for the GSLCYA, or Gay Straight Lesbian Communist Youth Activists club.

spirit 11-16-2005 03:58 PM
Haha.
That was the first question on the test I took.
I answered dislike.
I did one of those kind of tests once. It came back with no really good matches, and a bunch of poor matches, basically because I didn't like much. A friend got a fork lift driver and a french polisher though. Kind of a crappy test I think.

Futuro 11-16-2005 04:04 PM
Yeah.
It was the avatar I think.
But my avatar is Young Jeezy.

Im playing at GC tonight for the finals (Finally, took em long enough) Updates when I get back.

Win A Rabbit 11-16-2005 04:47 PM

i took one of those career tests a while ago. stupid questions. one of them asked if i would ejoy putting out forest fires. i didn't walk away from it with any more career knowledge than i had going in. our counsellor is also an idiot, so she didn't know how to get onto the website for the test. the people taking the test had to show other people taking the test how to do it, and the counsellor just sat there and ate her lunch.

Double Bass Jim 11-16-2005 04:52 PM

Damn what happend!?! Ours were over a month ago haha.

Futuro 11-16-2005 05:06 PM
Damn what happend!?! Ours were over a month ago haha.
That's what I was saying! We started ours a while ago, But the Hurricane that hit nowhere near here was GC's excuse to hold back the store finals  The regional finals are next week aswell! So even if I win it is less than one week of preperation.

Kinda pissed me off.

Double Bass Jim 11-16-2005 05:12 PM

Ohh yea I forgot about that, ahh well musta got some good practice time in

Win A Rabbit 11-16-2005 05:19 PM

hey, this is probably a stupid question, but i just want to make sure.

painting the shells of my drums with regular wall-paint wouldn't have any negative effect, would it? as in, it wouldn't get into the wood and effect the sound or strength?

i'm going tomorrow to pick up the paint. i've got it all planned out. black "rings" from the bottom of the lugs to the top of the shell, same thing for the bottom, then bright green in the middle of the toms, and yellow in the middle of the bass drum.

Janeway 11-16-2005 05:21 PM

I don't think it'd hurt it.
The paint would chip off easily, though.

LoneStarDrummer 11-16-2005 05:36 PM

Alright! the hot water's finally back on in my crappy dorm. no more of those dreadful cold showers.

The Ska Man 11-16-2005 05:40 PM

Seems a little complicated for a first build. just use some dark tung oil(Instead of all that), it'll look great.

poppinfresh 11-16-2005 05:41 PM

are you doing flat paint or the gloss bathroom paint that looks like **** and makes a glare sometimes. get flat.

LoneStarDrummer 11-16-2005 05:51 PM

i think using spray paint would be better. lay down a primer than try something like duplicolor. you can get some nice finishes just in a can from them.

Win A Rabbit 11-16-2005 05:56 PM
are you doing flat paint or the gloss bathroom paint that looks like **** and makes a glare sometimes. get flat.
definately flat. i can't stand bathroom paint. i painted my room in my old house all bright green, i loved it. i think i may paint my new room bright green, maybe yellow. haven't decided yet. i would get bright pink, but it'd be a bit of an awkward moment when i first brought a new girl into my room...

puppet.master

that's why me and my dad built a sweet *** music room separate from the house. that way we can play whenever we want.

i'll play as late as 1 a.m. i've never played any later than that because i don't know how well the neighbors can hear me. they're about 75 yards away though.

my dad plays the accordian. i'm Hispanic, even though i look white and so my dad likes Mexican music.

...skrew it, i've got nothing else to do (actually i do, but its english homework) so i'll listen to it.

Loyton 11-16-2005 08:52 PM

yea its like that with all of mx. All links. that, or put http:// in front of that which was obiously to much work for me

LoneStarDrummer 11-16-2005 09:01 PM

it's not bad. the double bass was pretty descent, though it sounded really dead in that song.

it's not really my type of music, but compared to a lot of the new music in this genre out there today it's decent. the song had a good energy to it, and at least the vocals were understandable.

they have potential. i'm not really the best one to judge this type of music however because it's not my style and i don't want to give any harse criticism because of that fact.

i can see why you might like it though, its actually pretty good.
