The new Vines album, Vision Valley, is sweet :-D

Zebra 03-25-2006 01:16 PM
Super Furry Animals - Radiator

This is like if the Fiery Furnaces dropped all their pretentious bullshit and just played insanely catchy, loud-guitar indie pop.
Nice, I'm really diggin' Guerrila as of now but they are both excellent albums.
The new Vines album, Vision Valley, is sweet :-D
really?! From the single (Gross Out), I really epcted this to be quite bad!

P.S. I'm glad you changed your name back, much better :)

I mean, it's nothing amazing, but it's still a pretty fun album.

I'm actually uploading it for the mailing list right now.

JOutlaw15 03-25-2006 03:20 PM

ExComplex and Monday in London's The Red Machine. They're both indie groups from North Carolina. Pretty good, you should check them out!!!!! www.excomplex.com and www.mondayinlondon.com

EonBlueApcolyps 03-25-2006 03:27 PM

Radiohead - Ok Computer

Now I know why all the elite indie kids love this album so much.

Tangy zizzle 03-25-2006 03:41 PM

Big Star - Third/Sisters Lovers

Matt? 03-25-2006 06:20 PM

a wilhelm scream

guitar is so insane, i wish i was half as good as these guys

Glitterati 03-25-2006 07:38 PM

So uh diggage today.

I just listened to

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Good album, probably my favorite Floyd album. Probably their most progressive album.
The Beatles - Sgt. Peppers
Damn good album, Abbey Road is still my favorite though.

And now I'm listening to Yes - Fragile. It's pretty good, I'm starting to like it more. I just wish their was more lyrics instead of just instrumentals.

YDload 03-25-2006 08:03 PM

i like some of the instrumentals, like "The Fish" and "Five Percent For Nothing."

But of course the best songs are the ones over 7 minutes long

el doctor 03-25-2006 10:06 PM

Wakeman's take on Brahms is a bit out of place, but I like the other instrumentals. I completely agree though, the real prime meat there is obviously the fuller/longer songs.

pixiesfanyo 03-25-2006 10:32 PM

Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade

Wow, this album is so good.
Coheed and Cambria - The Second Stage Turbine Blade

It doesn't have as much variety as their subsequent albums, but at the same time it's hard to listen to it and not say it's the band's best. I like "Time Consumer," "Everything Evil," and "God Send Conspirator" the best.

Right now I am listening to Boy Hits Car by Boy Hits Car. It's a pretty neat album; lots of Indian influence in an otherwise normal-sounding post-hardcore/something else album.

Zebra 03-25-2006 11:03 PM

Nofx - Ribbed
Offspring - Smash

I still wish I was in the seventh grade.

Little Man being Erased 03-26-2006 01:29 AM
I agree with you, but all the purists tell me I'm wrong and that Blue Lines is the greatest thing ever put to tape. I just don't get it.
Those purists don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
Bob Dylan - Bringing It All Back Home
Bob Dylan - The Times They Are A-Changin'

The former is still excellent, and the latter doesn't do it for me at all.
Same. I can't seem to get into The Times They Are A-Changin' anywhere near as much as all the other Dylan albums I have.
The new Vines album, Vision Valley, is sweet :-D
That's... surprising.

I dug lots of random stuff at a huge party at my place last night. Plus Original Pirate Material by the Streets.

Kyle 03-26-2006 04:44 AM

Been listening to Nebula all day :)

That's a good album.

ATM 03-26-2006 11:26 AM

I'd like to hear those guys.

JonM 03-26-2006 11:38 AM

Boy Hits Car! I've got that album, and I've got one of their early local ones too! It's called My Animal, and though some of the songs appeared later on the s/t, the versions are much different, and the other material definitely makes it worth having. If you'd like it, holla at a playa.

ATM 03-26-2006 11:47 AM

Yea, for some reason I did too. Pop punk or nu metal.

sketchyjoe 03-26-2006 12:06 PM

The Grit - I Came Out the Womb an Angry Cunt
Punk 'n' Fuck 'n' Roll. I picked this up when I saw them last night.

Daniel! 03-26-2006 01:06 PM

Meat Puppets - Meat Puppets II
Meat Puppets - Up On the Sun

I'm really starting to like these albums.

Matt? 03-26-2006 01:07 PM

up on the sun is maybe my favorite meatpuppets song

that album has a lot of filler sounding tracks though

Zebra 03-26-2006 01:14 PM

Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti!

Daniel! 03-26-2006 01:34 PM
that album has a lot of filler sounding tracks though
For me, not a single song is boring on either of those albums.
