Bit of a lie when they say there's been no big arguments recording the album...Caveman's studio diary says there was at least one blazing argument ("and no, it wasn't a debate") over a harmony part somewhere, where Caveman insists he's right "Because I've studied at the [whatever it was] school of music" and Steve says "Well, I studied at the school of rockability, so there!"
In the end, Caveman's still right, apparently. |
I think they were referring more to inside the band itself though.
I don't know whether it's good or bad really, because tension can lead to better results. |
a lot of people do work better under pressure.
i hope they don't split up after they make a 15th album, but just decide to go to 20 albums or something like that instead. |
I listened to Hallowed be thy name yesterday...It had been a while. Damn I love that intro. I need more Maiden.
|
How long have I been telling you that Jammie?
|
I don't know. Have you ever said it ?
You did threaten me if I didn't like BNW though :p When I have money to spend, I should maybe take advantage of that sale on some of the Maiden cd's....hmmm |
Well, I meant to say it if I didn't.
|

Yup, it was me. It was either that or 30$. Well worth it either way.
|
Yeah it is.
For over here (Atlantic Canada) it's like..$25 for a normal album, and any of the live ones are $30-40. It's such a piss off  |
Yeah it is.

Rock In Rio is like..$45?
The DotR DVD when I first bought it (When it was released) was $70. |
I had in mind Blind Guardian's Live which was 24.99 :p
But yes, maybe I do remember seeing RiR more expensive...meh, oh well, I got my Alive in Athens 3 disc set for 23.99 USD  ...in a store too. |
I used to listen to Maiden. I have PoM and SiT, but I lost interest in them. I should probably give them a spin again and check out some other albums to see if I can rekindle any interest in them.

That's an awesome price on it too. NP: Brave New World-Iron Maiden It's been a while since I've given the actually song of the album a listen. |
I found the title track a bit lacking. But you'll all know that, you'll have read my BNW review over at sputnik :p
Has anyone shotgunned reviewing AMOLAD yet? If not, SHOTGUN! (Don't worry, I can pull of decent reviews [I hope], I did the BNW and S/T ones on sputnik) |
I found the title track a bit lacking. But you'll all know that, you'll have read my BNW review over at sputnik :p
Thats one of my all time fav Maiden tunes. While your at it, I'd better start whoring out my two Maiden reviews. |
Hallowed be thy Name: The bit with the double time drumming and where the main riff is harmonised in 3rds (5:47) then Bruce starts singing = AMAZING :D
|
I really must hear some BLAZE albums, i've only heard the live album and judging by that i'd say they should be very good.
Im going to the old music store tommorow and buying a wolfsbane album \m/ They dont sell B L A Z E albums here which is extremely gay. |
So, has no-one yet shotgunned reivewing AMOLAD yet? If not, I DEF call shotgun.
|
So, has no-one yet shotgunned reivewing AMOLAD yet? If not, I DEF call shotgun.
I'll do it too. :)
I'll get all the Maiden albums eventually. I've got 5 of 13 so far. |
If you have a reasonable HMV near you or similar, they should have at least one Blaze album.
|
Try searching on HMV's website also.

 ???? Its the title of the new maiden album. |
Damn, we've got to get used to the new acronyms.
TROBB ftw. |
^^
 ???? Its the title of the new maiden album.
Of course it is! Thanks. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg - such a cool title. |
Haha TROBB eh?
I'd write a review for AMOLOD but my writing skills are also slightly disgraceful. |
"trobb" :lol:

My doctor reckons the bit of 'unpleasentness' between the Osbournes & Maiden last summer were just a publicity stunt, as the Osbournes are NOTHING like they act on TV (he has doctored to the osbournes, you see), and based on what they are like in real life, off-screen, they're not the sort of people to do what they did to Maiden.
|
..Your doctor has doctored Ozzy?
|
Not only that, he's good friends with the bird out of Texas.
|
Your doctor is amazing :p
|
Your doctor is a lie!! lol

"I'm the prince of [bleep] darkness! Not the prince of [bleep] bubbles!" Classic. |
He's also a saxophonist who's jammed with somone who played sax with miles davis (can't remember the name) and the kinks' bassist.
bastard :( |
Yeah, just rereleases. I remember looking at it yesterday on Metal Archives actually. I have no idea why they were all released then either.
