Yeah, and he said about how he went home in a prop car from The Fast and The Furious. I think it was called "The Abyss".
See? We're like brothers.

I'm so stoked to see Hot Cross, though. Matt, you better be there.

-Gav
more like you better be there.

i'm not sure if they have a set venue/ time yet, i'll send someone an email eventually i guess

and yeah a tale for the ages is definitely my favorite hot cross song followed by fortune teller and then solanka.

i like cryonics more then fair trades. the end of fair trades is kinda meh, but cryonics is pretty sick throughout imo

RetiredAt21 07-23-2006 12:26 PM
I love it but I agree; it is their worst, which is why I was asking.

Fair Trades and Farewells
Cryonics
A New Set of Lungs

That's how I think it goes, from best to worst.

A Tale for the Ages is probably their most emotional song on Cryonics.

-Gav
I agree with everything.

bottlerocket 07-23-2006 02:34 PM

I lost my phone. I'm supposed to hang with Chris (cbmartinez) because he's like one town over but I can't find it. I had it but then I took a shower and couldn't find it again. Talk about bad timing.

conniption 07-23-2006 03:01 PM

Gav where is the Hot Cross show?

Matt? 07-23-2006 03:03 PM

somewhere in new hampshire, it may be in derry

i kind of think i read derry somewhere

but i'm not sure if there is a set place/ time yet

bottlerocket 07-23-2006 03:37 PM

It said Derry, New Hampshire, but they haven't said a venue yet. If it's at Crossings, I'll be pissed.
yeah

There has been some talk of doing a John Henry West discography LP/CD on Ebullition. But there are very little details on this at this point, other than the record will include all their studio tracks, some live material, and two unreleased tracks. Once again, it all depends on when the band finishes the artwork. (Personally, I am starting to doubt this will happen)

this would own hard.

edit:

ROFL

Cats should never be allowed to run wild. They kill and taunt wild birds and small animals. If you own a cat please do not let it go outside. Letting your cat go loose is the equivalent of going around with a rifle shooting birds and small animals. If you care about the environment and wild animals then please do not let your cat go outdoors.

Cats are not natural. They are man-made hunters that do not belong in the wild. Wild animals do not know how to deal with them and unless you live in a very rugged place there are no predators to keep the cats under control. In many places in the world cats are decimating the natural habitat. In the USA cats are responsible for a massive decrease in songbird populations. In some states songbirds may go extinct due to the wholesale slaughter being caused by domestic and feral cats.

from ebullition
Ebullition is very preachy if you havn't noticed. Pick up a copy of HeartAttack if they still have it in stock.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 07-23-2006 04:44 PM

Hahaha thats funny and weird

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 07-23-2006 05:11 PM

Justin, are you in a band?

bottlerocket 07-23-2006 05:26 PM

Best Friends Means Friends Forever, I think...

-Gav
rofl, no.

Matt? 07-23-2006 06:07 PM

are there any bands that use like major keys all the time and then have one random song in a minor key?

wierd question i know.

bottlerocket 07-23-2006 08:58 PM

Hot Cross modulates all the time, if that's what you're asking (they change keys and scales/modes).

-Gav

Special Brew 07-23-2006 09:07 PM

That's not what he meant. Actually, there is one emo band I think may fit his description, but I can't place their name right now. They're from Tennessee somewhere.

bottlerocket 07-23-2006 09:11 PM

Yeah, I figured it wasn't but I didn't know any bands that answer his question so I figured I'd give it a shot. :p
We're working on it.

Pirates of the Caribbean sucked. It was really long and I got bored with it. I'm the only person I know of that doesn't like tha movie.

-Gav
i agree, that movie was horrible. the only good part i remember from the whole movie was when the guy said, "but why is the rum gone??"

srt-4 07-24-2006 12:09 AM
Has anyone here seen Hot Cross live? Do they play a lot of stuff off A New Set of Lungs?

Cob: Entourage is the best HBO show.

-Gav
i saw them once a couple years ago, just after fair trades and farewells was released. they put on a great show. they weren't that tight, but they had a ton of energy. as i remember it, they didn't play anything off a new set of lungs.

and i think cryonics is their best work so far.

Converge#12 07-24-2006 12:27 AM

emo story

so i was at my friends house and he called me a homo becaus ei wore girl pants, but i said NO i wear emo pants. he said you don't know REAL EMO you listen to post-emo indie rock and said i should go to fourfa.com and also here to get "scrams" he said. but the thing is he was raelly drunk and my mom kicked him out of the house. he ruined my birthday party LOL. anyways i like a lot of cool bands like TBS (thats an AWESOME band name iplaybass!) and Emery. i read a lto of those bands in the first page of the thread and i couldnt find any of their music on altpress.com which was weird so ya i really wanna learn about cool music to impress my friend even though hes sort of fat and mebe an alcoholic! sorry my life is intense sometimes didn't mean to get all EMO lol.

MIKEVICKSLEEPERPICK 07-24-2006 01:51 AM
Anybody here like Underoath? I think they are pretty sweet.
YESSS I heart underoath. i saw them with my gf when they were on tour for their new album which is AMAZING. theyre a little too screamo on their new cd but its so interesting and deep too. like they really matured a lot after theyre only chasing safety but still theyre relly good.
