Hello all, my name is Adam. I am a drummer who has only been playing for 6 weeks. I live in Perth in Western Australia and am 16. I've always wanted to play drums ever since I can remember, when I was younger I used to listen to alot of Phil Collins and Genesis and was lucky to meet him and get his signature during the Both Sides tour in 1995. Now-a-days I listen to alot of variety, from progressive rock to metal. I only just found this forum tonight and decided it will be a good place to learn alot (aside from lessons which I plan to take soon) and also meet some new people.
G'day Adam! I'm from Wollongong on the East-side! Welcome to D&P, we're all pretty good guys here, except pespi, she's a girl. There's a few aussies too. Damo is from Perth.

Well my brother once went to buy himself a kit and he talked to Damo then on what kit he should get and asked me later when I actually bought my kit if I got Damo when I was buying it then when I went down to get my new stuff with my brother he told me that the guy who helped us was Damo.

oh yeah ive been in costa rica.

theglassprison-i tried drinking nd pissing once, to see if it made a loop, i dont see the logic behind this but i belieed it would work. It just gave me this really sharp pain in the side.

Blank 12-31-2005 11:55 AM

Duude, arent you in san fran? I went there, we coulda met at GC or sumin. O well you where pry in away then anyways. Yea, I didnt go to houston I went from denver to san fran.

poppinfresh 12-31-2005 12:41 PM

oh theres more music stores in san jose costa rica than any city in the us. its pretty awesome. They stock istanbuls and all that junk. Dom famularo did a clinic over there. i bet no one goes though they are pretty empty, the drummers suck but talent exists. i got to watch the carnival, in the parade they had groups od dancers and percussionists. they percussionists sucked but there were one or two that solod on the timbales that could. this one store had a lot of crystal crashes. they have those paiste sound effect cymbals. this on store only stocked yamahas, nothing top of the line. theyh have a good variety of sticks at a good price, better than here but the signature models cost more.

bwahahaha

one day in music class another drummer (the hyperactive one) was playing the bongos with drumsticks (sorry, I mean HAMMERING the bongos) and he pierced the skin... So he took the bongos and RAN into the drum room (we were all playing our instruments in class as an orchestra if you will) and tried covering them with a piece of paper  The teacher ran in after him and sent him to the office :p

bwahahaha it was so funny

poppinfresh 12-31-2005 12:54 PM

Drum Monkey 12-31-2005 12:56 PM
