Just started a rateyourmusic account.
My rating is so biased, I have just gave 4 Dream Theater albums 5 Stars. Can't help it. Does anybody else do that?
All the ratings on RYM are weighted, so it doesn't matter if you try to rate 'objectively' (like the little music scholars we all like to think we are) or just rate all your favourite albums 5/5 without much thought. |
Hey bertender, if you have all you music on the RYM website, can you send a link so i can check it all out?
Yeah, sure. Sorry I didn't answer this as you asked it, I must have just gone as you did. http://rateyourmusic.com/~Eruantien |

I don't think I am...I know I am ;) BTW, I threw a HHG reference in Raven Bassist's thread last night, I thought you might be proud :p |
The dictionary has correct pronunciation in front of the words.
but that's not really what i'm worried about. i'm on merriamwebster.com and they say them all, it's all the writing that's pissing me off |

That sucks. I can happily say I am homework free for the weekend! :) I might do some extra credit to get my mom off my back though. |

Scathing. I just think the Rating system is a little too general. Or I'm to picky between a 4.5 and a 5. Buy Now...Saved Later is a good album, never seen them mentioned around here. |

Sorry, didn't mean it to be. Just an offhand comment; I'm as guilty of pretensions as any.
I just think the Rating system is a little too general. Or I'm to picky between a 4.5 and a 5.
I'm usually really unconcerned and easy for 0-4 marks. I try to be a bit more discerning for above that though (less so on RYM, but when I reviewed here on MX, I'd not be too bothered by what I gave below 4, and then be really structured and harsh with myself on anything above 4 :-/).
Buy Now...Saved Later is a good album, never seen them mentioned around here.
It is a pretty good album, yeah. I don't trust myself to rate it "properly" though, since it was one of the first few dozen or so albums I bought, so I find it hard to distinguish between it actually being good, and my just having good memories of it. My actual copy of that album is scratched to hell, though, so I haven't been able to listen to it in ages. |

Why? |
Why?
He keeps saying In Flames isn't death metal, that they are Gothenberg, but from what I gather, Gothenberg is a subgenre of death metal, but he cannot understand this. Blah, I'm done arguing with him, as soon as I gave him a source for my info, he told me the source was crap, so I see that I can't get him to shut up. |
Hey R&M.

Hey R&M.
Hello. How goes it? |
I don't think OMS would be popular with the majority of users here.
Available in all colours is good as well :)
Available in all colours is probably my least favourite album, but it still has good tracks. One Lie Fits All is probably my favorite, was rubbish they split. Hopefully will come back together. "My actual copy of that album is scratched to hell, though, so I haven't been able to listen to it in ages." Sounds the same as me, had to get a friend to copy it for me, to replace the other. |

Preeeeety good, yourself? |
Blah, me is excited :) dance tonight, gonna intice my woman :naughty:

I'm only posting in here to threaten Bartender. If you don't close that Official Unblack Metal Thread I will hunt you down and stomp your ***. Also, Eleventeen, Gothenburg is more power than death metal. Also, 12oz is a metal god, so shut up. |
I haven't been in here in quite a while.

Also pretty good, though I don't have anything to drink and am quite thirsty. Supposed to be doing Forced Listening too, but I keep getting distracted, so it's only about half done so far. |

Haha, I'm too thirsty, I think i'm going to 'Sam's Club' Tonight to get some stuff. |

I've not actually heard One Lie Fits All, just the first two. |

If you don't close that Official Unblack Metal Thread I will hunt you down and stomp your ***.
But it's so amusing to read. "Black metal sucks!" "I'm-a kill you " "*kult kult kult*" "stfu. black metal." :) |
It was a friend who destroyed mine :( Same guy who returned my tour edition of Mutter with one of the discs missing, and several other CD-related grievances.
I've not actually heard One Lie Fits All, just the first two.
Hmm, what a great friend. |
Well I should have said "friend" I suppose. It wasn't that he was a bastard though, just that he wasn't the kind to keep good care of CDs. That's how he treated his own, too.

Oh, I see. Yeah, it's like my friend whom I lent my BGIIXP disk, and it ended up on his floor, and he stepped on it: results, Throne of Bhaal now has two parts to it, he also ended up stepping on his own IWD I & II disk, as well as dropping his Starcraft disk in between his desk/wall. |

I've not actually heard One Lie Fits All, just the first two.
Ouch! CD-related grievances are the worst thing ever, that's why I'm thinking of buying an Mp3 player. One Lie Fits All is nearly all ambience, well the band plays, but a lot more emphasis on the 'airy' feel, I really like it. |
