They need to go back to Helsinki to record the playing parts.

MRDuCran 02-21-2006 03:38 PM

Check it out.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-21-2006 03:47 PM

k ill will thanks,i rarely go on that site i forgot about it

PsychoticFlubber 02-21-2006 03:58 PM

Yeah... I don't care if I have multiple concerts with the same setlists. I just downloaded the Nosturi show. I havn't watched it long, but it looks perfect and professionally done. I am downloading another show from this year right now. I will buy the DVD as well when it comes out. Hopefully Alexi does something like Zakk Wylde did and make a guitar-instructional type thing on the concert DVD. I can't wait until that Are You Dead Yet? video comes out either... it'll be cool to see a new music video by them.

MRDuCran 02-21-2006 04:19 PM

I doubt there's many extras on it but Alexi and Janne ARE doing a new DVD about guitar/keyz harmony and stuff. How they organise their lead parts etc, that's going to fukkin rule.

Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 02-21-2006 04:23 PM

when can i see another dvd thing

MRDuCran 02-21-2006 04:31 PM

I already know how they do it.

Alexi's a genious and writes everything by himself. Then he shows Janne how to do it.

Dude that's awesome!

I hope they get a good recording of that battle they do in concert...I can't find any good video of that that sounds half decent

I mean the theory part. I know it's all mainly diaonic 3rds but to see Janne stand there and play those keyboard solos, woh!

And he does them all one handed too. It's insane. :( One hand to shred the living hell out of the keys the other to drink a beer. \m/

repcak 02-21-2006 06:29 PM

yeah.. janne done this out my concert too :D

hey, shadows fallen - how practising universal mind? how far are you?
i learn 'necrophagist - foul body autopsy'. i can play the first 14 seconds at 60bpm :p

Shadows 02-21-2006 06:32 PM

Still not far. Yesterday was the first day I played after a break of a couple days, but I noticed that it's definitely getting cleaner. I hope to advance to a three-digit bpm today or tomarrow. :)

But I'm about to play it now so we'll see. :p

That guy is crazy... he can play so well. It was so awesome watching him and Alexi battle live... It was one of the most amazing things I have seen in my life...

I thought the same thing until...Alexi screamed "biotch" for something, then I could've died happy.

That was really funny and unexpected.
I think he said "He's one crazy biotch." after Janne did his keyboard solo.

repcak 02-21-2006 07:22 PM

edit: forget it

Dude, you and Ben are lucky... I couldn't hear anything Alexi said... it was so freakin loud... my ears rang for a week and a half after that show... Thats the only thing I didn't really like about the show... it was just a little too loud.

You get used to it after a while. My first couple shows I thought I was going deaf (probably because I was right in front of a speaker for one of them :() but now I think I've built up a little resistence.

Then again, maybe your's was just a lot louder.

But you know what? It doesn't matter! I love you!

IheartSP 02-21-2006 07:28 PM

Sometimes I get that feeling I've said everything I have to say about Bodom...

Toaster 02-21-2006 07:31 PM

I wear earplugs to shows. I get this sick feeling in my gut when I picture myself at 25 with hearing aids.

I love you too Ben!!

But that could be it, Bodom was my first show, which is kickass, but it's kinda sad that thats the only show I have been to... So maybe I'll get used to it... hopefully I find out with Arsis or Opeth \m/

IheartSP 02-21-2006 07:32 PM

It sounds better with earplugs anyway. I use them at band practice but am far too forgetful to remember to bring them to a show. I usually am deaf for a day...

I think we were meant for each other.

If you get to see Arsis and Opeth and I don't I will have to mildly injure several small animals. That's how infuriated I will become. I must see my precious Arsis. :(

I've been to many shows and I've kinda been desensetized by it. The first few are always the most amazing thing ever, but once you're used to going they don't seem as memorable anymore. It sucks.

I'll have to try earplugs at my next show... if it makes it sound better... after a while I couldn't tell when they were playing and when they weren't... no, it wasn't that bad, but everything just blended together...

Toaster 02-21-2006 07:34 PM

You only think it's for a day. Hearing loss stays with you, the tiny hair follicles in your ear never fully repair themselves after such a severe beating.

I agree, if you get a good pair of earplugs a show does sound better. I've worn shit earplugs and had the bass frequencies actually get louder, and I ended up taking them off. Get a musician's pair.

Shadows 02-21-2006 07:37 PM

You guys must have louder sound systems than we do up here. Aside from my first two shows the ringing stops a couple hours after I get home.
