Nah, he's coming straight from the studio, as in instead of going home after work he's going to play...
EDIT : Maybe you shouljd kick me out of the skeptic/pessemist club. I was under the impression they were coming to the end of recording, hoping for a sept/oct release.
ALbums in the studio can take anywhere from over a year (lol, Blink), to 12 hours (mon The Biffy). In tool's case, everything is long winded. By recording, thats the long stage, the mixing and then cryptic layering (yeah, they'll do that I bet) occurs.

Then again, maybe its a bad thing Dannny is still drumming in the studio? Since drum tracks naturally get laid down first?

/me finds Tool songs

NP: No Quarter

Edit: While I'm here, this might annoy some of you:

When I was at Ozzfest 2002 in Donny, I was sat down drinking hot choc and eating doughnuts at the ends of Tool's set, I didn't really have much of an idea on who they were etc...and to be fair, really wanted Ozzy to come on stage. I think I caught most of Schism though which sounded pretty good :)
Im sure you've done this to me before, but still,

And good start with the tracks

That's better.

My mate was also at donny 2002, he now likes tool. He says their set converted him, even though he was miles away, drunk and waiting for ozzy.

I seem to remember being quite a distance from the stage but close enough to see Maynard wandering about if I stood up. It was really cold aswell :(

Ben- I thought the same thing about Danny laying down the drumming, but I'm hoping that Tool records song by song, not insturment by insturment. :-/

Refl 07-22-2005 03:59 PM

I like Tool.

I'm in the right place....right?

One Groovin Clown 07-22-2005 04:00 PM

My guess is that they'll do song by song. Then when the songs are done, away they go to Manyard for lyrics.

Oh yes. Comment on the wonders that is Tool in the studio. If they are recording is unknown. Maybe Danny is still setting up his kit, making sure its facing Mecca and the other stuff he does

Go back to tdn, moron.

I recognize the avatar/user title.

Ok, why won't Audacity let me play freaking MIDI files? I made a tab in powertabs, converted it to MIDI, and now I want to merge it with something that I made in Fruity Loops, but it's not letting me. :-/
