er...

I can't think of one Opeth song that's anything like what you just described.

Most of their songs are fairly balanced between heavy and soft, many of their songs even have more heavier parts than soft parts as well. Very few songs are noticably way more soft than heavy unless they're actually completely clean songs.
Exactly. There are very few Opeth sogns that solely feature heavy material, so it would kind of be impossible for them to only scream the entire time.

Plus, who cares? The set was awesome!:thumb:

I didnt know they played DOTF as an encore:eek:

And you call yourself an Opeth fan? :p

Crysiss 04-30-2006 01:30 PM

umm yea? I dont know I had to research everything they do to be a fan:upset:

Darkness 04-30-2006 01:31 PM

 It's just it's like their trademark song, they've played at every live show as an encore untill this year.

Shattered_Future 04-30-2006 02:06 PM

I think he meant on the DVD, he didn't know they played it as an encore...

I didn't know that either. They should've screwed over the record company and gotten the rights to it.

I still think Deliverance made a better closer, even though I've never witnessed DOTF live.

Kreator2112 04-30-2006 04:17 PM

yea ive witnessed DOTF live, and it was god like

Darkness 04-30-2006 04:24 PM

Crysiss 04-30-2006 04:39 PM

Stoo 04-30-2006 04:44 PM

Np - Remember Tomorrow.

Crysiss 04-30-2006 06:03 PM

Well, I usually shift through albums every month or so. I just started listening to Blackwater Park a couple days ago. My favorite track from that album was Dirge For November. Now its the title track.

Remember Tomorrow is awesome. I prefer the Opeth version mainly because of Mikaels singing.

Stoo 04-30-2006 06:05 PM

My fav track from Blackwater Park is Bleak.
My fav Opeth track is Bleak.

:smoke:

Although, not really, I love so many of their songs, it's just Bleak was the first. <3

vashts80 04-30-2006 06:08 PM

Bleak ftw. Mike and Steve harmonizing > all.

Bleak was one of the first Opeth songs I really liked, now I just think it's a fairly average Opeth song, there are a lot of better opeth songs, it's still very good though.

Yeah, as I've gotten more into them, I realise that it's not THE best.

But still...:smoke:

When I first read this I was like: "who the hell is Steve?". Then I realized you meant Steve Wilson.
