Yeah, the DVD is pretty awesome. It's much better than the Kreator DVD, but even though I don't have the Sodom DVD yet, I'm sure that one will be cooler.

NP: Bathory - Holocaust

Don't break your foot moshing. It's painful
The Sodom DVD looks like the greatest DVD to ever exist ever. I'll not rest easy until I own it! Which, if all goes well, will be in about 12 days, when I see them with Finntroll. :thumb:

FatalEnergy 12-30-2005 06:46 PM

Ahhh! Damn you! They're only playing East Coast Dates. Whyyyyyyyyy?

NP: Mercyful Fate - Burning the Cross

Damn my Southern Californian residency. I just now found out Exodus and Morbid Angel are coming to Santa Ana, California. I'd love to go.

Terrorzone 01-03-2006 05:26 PM

Exodus are coming here with Cryptopsy and Immolation. Morbid Angel is coming with Behemoth. And Nile is coming too. Gods be praised.

Are you an Aussie?
NP: Morbid Saint - Damien
This has got to be one of my favorite songs currently.

Terrorzone 01-03-2006 05:31 PM

No, American. That is a bitching song. I am currently in love with Scars and Crying for Death.

RavenousMetalist87 01-03-2006 06:48 PM

/:eek: to the news for Exodus and Morbid Angel.

I am definitely saving. :D

It's times like these I wish I had a car, license, was 21 years old, and had money. If I had those, I'd so go. You're lucky man. Hopefully they'll come down to SD.

It says All Ages for the L.A show. How much did it cost for the Santa Ana show? It's only $15 for the L.A. date.

/has pissed ownself. XD

The Santa Ana one is $13.50 but it says there is a 2 drink minimum, so I'm pretty sure it's an 21 and up show.

Really? It said all ages for the L.A. date. Why would it be 21+ for Santa Ana?

Gah. ****ing venues and their misleading advertisements. Don't they understand that there is a younger generation that wants to see great metal?

Seriously, people in here need to have a say on this. Everyone is trying to label LoG, Shadows Fall, Trivium, etc. "Melodic Thrash". What crap.

MAthiAS 01-03-2006 10:34 PM

When will people realize that thrash influenced does not mean thrash? People don't constantly mislabel thrash as punk, or death as thrash, or what have you.

What are some bands similar to Overkill?

FatalEnergy 01-06-2006 05:22 PM

uhh...Overkill is one of the more unique thrash bands out there. They are from NY and a lot of bands from NY have a similar style I suppose. Check out old Anthrax or Nuclear Assault.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-06-2006 06:24 PM

You could also try Exodus. That's all I can think of.

GenuineImitation 01-06-2006 06:28 PM

I already listen to Anthrax and Exodus, but I'll check out Nuclear Assault. Thanks.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-06-2006 06:30 PM

Well it depends what Exodus you've heard already.

GenuineImitation 01-06-2006 06:32 PM
Well it depends what Exodus you've heard already.
I have Bonded By Blood and Shovel Head Kill Machine.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-06-2006 06:35 PM

You should check out Fabulous Disaster. It is more similar to Overkill than those.

It has The Toxic Waltz too.

Sure thing. Thanks for the help.

RCA 01-07-2006 12:35 PM

Dargon mentioned a band that he said supposedly sounds like Overkill (and does it right, too!), though I forgot their name. I'll have to ask him again.

You shall. Or the flying hamster of doom will rain coconuts upon you, Ryan. XD

I'd like to hear this band though. I had a strange dream this morning that I was in a band and we were playing The Trooper and Eternal Ban.

I think it's a sign from the divine to get in a ****in' band already

Edit: I can't type today...wtf...
