Pros/cons of larger/smaller screen resolutions? I have been running my monitor on 1024x768 for a LONG time (out of habit rather than requirement, my PC & video card = reasonably powerful)
1280x1024 shows a crap ton more, but of course is smaller. It's still easy enough to read though... I'm just wondering if one is worse for eye strain or... what? Discuss!

fishbulb 05-24-2008 10:13 AM

Larger resolution is definitely better but just keep it at your monitor's native resolution whatever that is.

Berk 05-24-2008 10:15 AM

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 10:21 AM
Then you can't party...
You can still have a great time without doing drugs!

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-24-2008 11:24 AM

And without booze. That aint no party
Then you can't party...
this

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 11:33 AM

I don't drink, smoke, or partake in any sort of illicit substance (actually never have done any of that) and I don't party. But I'm not XXSTR8EDGELOLZXX either. That's just obnoxious.

Was Phil banned?

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-24-2008 11:38 AM

Nah I think he just left

Retarded Chipple 05-24-2008 11:46 AM

If you can't party hard without the help of drink/drugs then you aint really much of a partier.

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-24-2008 11:48 AM

more fun wid a few pints tho

because the beatles were straightedge, yea....

Win A Rabbit 05-24-2008 12:33 PM

tbh if you actually rely on drugs to have a good time, you have some issues.

BummerJonny 05-24-2008 12:36 PM

tbh, its kinda engrained in british culture, especially among myt mates, that to have a good time you must drink. for instance, i have no money today so i'm not out.

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 12:40 PM

Sweet, my 20" Vault crash is supposed to be delivered today. Probably in an hour or less.

Also, Musician's Friend order of an Evans Apprentice Pro Practicepad and a pair of Portnoy Signature sticks may get here today or Tuesday.

ace76543 05-24-2008 12:42 PM

i can't wait till summer, i'm getting about $4000 worth of new cymbals in one day

Win A Rabbit 05-24-2008 12:53 PM

tbh if you blame your dependence on drugs on society you have some issues.

Retarded Chipple 05-24-2008 12:57 PM

"Society makes me take drugs"

Lol.
If you can't party hard without the help of drink/drugs then you aint really much of a partier.
It's more a question of improving on the fun.

BummerJonny 05-24-2008 01:10 PM
"Society makes me take drugs"

Lol.
tbh, i have never bought drugs with money i didnt get from the government....

ace76543 05-24-2008 01:39 PM

tbh if you never even try any drugs because you're that closed minded you're ****ing stupid and shouldn't be allowed to talk about the subject

fishbulb 05-24-2008 01:46 PM

$4000 or $400?

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 01:47 PM

I'm not close minded. I just don't want to have anything to do with them.

20" VAULT JUST GOT HERE! YES!

fishbulb 05-24-2008 01:51 PM

Record that sucker for us.

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 01:59 PM

I will, I plan on recording some drum cover videos soon.
tbh if you never even try any drugs because you're that closed minded you're ****ing stupid and shouldn't be allowed to talk about the subject
I've experimented with drugs. It was crap. Goodnight.

Win A Rabbit 05-24-2008 02:06 PM
tbh if you never even try any drugs because you're that closed minded you're ****ing stupid and shouldn't be allowed to talk about the subject
for the record i have. and then i got my shit sorted out and realized what a waste of time (for the most part) it is. never mind the waste of money.

and tbh the "closed minded" argument doesn't apply itself too well to the issue of drug use. some things it does. like chocolate milk. but others it doesn't. like murder. "tbh if you never even try murder because you're that closed minded you're ****ing stupid and shouldn't be allowed to talk about the subject."

Fuzzy 05-24-2008 02:12 PM

I agree 100%. WAR You're my hero.

Win A Rabbit 05-24-2008 02:15 PM

i want to do you.

in other news i'm 99% sure i'm going to go with the 'stache once it grows back. i compromised and trimmed everything down the shortest it's been since i first grew it out, and i'm liking it.

ace76543 05-24-2008 02:16 PM

that was a bad comparison.

take people who have never smoked pot before because the news tells them it's really really bad. they've heard both sides, but they choose to disregard the fact that pot isn't THAT bad for you just because society tells them to. inhaling half a gram of a plant and taking someone's life are two COMPLETELY different things

BummerJonny 05-24-2008 02:20 PM

yeaa, i hate it when the news is something like:
"A Stoned Thug stabbed someone today.
this filthy druggie had drunk a litre of vodka and taken one pull on a spliff, and the spliff made him kill someone"

this was probably in The Sun

fishbulb 05-24-2008 02:20 PM

What mics/recording equipment do you have Fuzzy?
