Does anyone know how I can post my own metallica riffs ive done?
Once you've recorded your songs upload them to http://www.yousendit.com or create an account at http://www.soundclick.com. Jake: Why not do it? It's a good idea. |
Why is this?
exactly for the reason Kolber just said. welcome to the forums, Kolber. :thumb: |
I play guitar :D
|
w00! I'm on a roll today! First a trend now a good idea
Edit: How could we pull this off munky? |
Y dont we start a AIM chat room so we dont have to keep Posting?
|
w00! I'm on a roll today! First a trend now a good idea
Depending on how this goes, you could extend it. If there are enough people you could have competitions between the members of all the official threads to see who can come up with the best tribute band. |
I play guitar :D
Oh cool, welcome to the forums, pleasure to have you on board... What do you mean??? Written riffs in tab form, or Music riffs you have recorded and wan't to put up here? :) |
Kolber - change your avatar to something St. Anger worshipping and user title to I ♥ St. Anger
|
I'd play. But I have substandard recording equipment, and you already have bass.
|

Oh, and I do love St Anger. I shall rob that usertitle from you all :D
|
I'll do lead guitar, I can play most of their solos.
|
There wouldn't be much competition though ;)
Anyone got an idea how to pull this off? Also, who wants lead, rhythm and vocals
I am also a Guitarist, but i won't be greedy lol, Give someone else the opertunity :D |
I can do rhythm guitar, i can play almost all their songs, and i have a nice tone for 'tallica.
|
I'll do lead guitar, I can play most of their solos.
yeah sure and R. blythe can have rhythm. Now who for vocalist |
Gah. Left out...
|
Gah. Left out...
You can have vocals |
if we do a song with two solos you can do one of them if you think you can pull it off.
|
What do i need to record it onto the computer?
I have an idea. Can i record it onto a tape, then burn that onto a CD, then just rip that onto like WMP or something, cause my guitar teacher lets me record stuff with him. |
I can't sing.
|
I'll do hammett's "attempted vocals"...
|
if we do a song with two solos you can do one of them if you think you can pull it off.
We Better leave out Metallica - Dyers eve (I am not as supreme as lars ;)) |
I can do bass. If its easy enough for me to record stuff, I'll do it. Would you want to share bass duties MXican?
|
There wouldn't be much competition though ;)
Anyone got an idea how to pull this off? Also, who wants lead, rhythm and vocals
Well for just now you(Or whoever is going to organise it) should get people to e-mail their preferrance for their preferred parts to you. If you have more than one person for one part, have them both record a part and let everyone judge on whichever the btter part is. Once you have all the parts filled up, decide on a song (probably using a vote) and then get down to recording. Organising a comp between different official threads wouldn't be too hard, but would need Mod endorsment. |

You can do bass instead of me if you wish |

In the Ask questions thread??? would we ask??? |

wait. Get the band up and running/practising first |
We Better leave out Metallica - Dyers eve (I am not as supreme as lars ;))
i can play all of dyer's eve on guitar... how can we record this? |
Well I wouldn't want to rob you of it, MXican! I'll share, or go without, I'm easy that way. If any of you feel like going any firther with this and want me to do some bassin', then add me to MSN on dark____nation@hotmail.com (4 underscores), or as that isn't working at the moment, chris6mm on AIM.
Anyway, how is it getting recorded? |

By that do u mean like the Black Sabbath thread will record a song, maide, zeppelin, etc then we all vote on whos is best? |
i can play all of dyer's eve on guitar...
how can we record this?
It's probably best if you decide on one recording program that is easily avaliable (be it from a free download or p2p or whatever.) |
By that do u mean like the Black Sabbath thread will record a song, maide, zeppelin, etc then we all vote on whos is best?
It was an idea.
Ok we need to get permission from a moderator.... In the Ask questions thread??? would we ask???
No need to ask yet. |

Anyway, how is it getting recorded?
I am not sure, we can get all instrument parts eg: I can have the drum parts recorded, but how do we put all the instruments over one an other?? so they sounds like a band lol |

Yeah pretty much and I seriously don't understand how the whole recording thing is going to work :upset: |
me neither. what song are we going to play? i think we should do something simple at first (not to release) like Am I Evil? and then try something harder.
TO LIVE IS TO DIE!!! |
I am happy with anything, Am i evil sounds pretty good to me, I guess we are playing Album versions,,, Not live versions, as we all know they vary quite considerably
I have the exact China used in to live is to die!!!! And signed, i wouldnt mind using it to record though  |
