Apparently Laaz Rockit reformed. o.o;;

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 03:02 AM

Yeah, they played a few shows. Although they said there won't ever be another album.

According to MA, anyhow.

Blunt 12-28-2005 07:16 AM

Simply, Shovel Headed Kill Machine and Tempo Of The Damned and Extreme Agrression and Beneath The Remains have one thing in common.
Supremity of thrash. I might put Coroner's No more Colour in the list but its a different beast. Sodom's incredibly underratted Tapping The vein is a worthy mention. But the above albums for me have defined and redefined thrash metal.
Thoughts..........

Apocalyptic Raids 12-28-2005 07:24 AM

My thoughts are you're from fucking Newcastle, just like me!

MA is weird sometimes.

I don't really trust the info some of those members post. They once said that the Sodom DVD was coming out on the 24th of October.

It still says that >.>;

odd. :smash:

I'm on a total old school Bathory binge. I dig this stuff. How is the newer Bathory?

I got drunk last night and broke my foot :(

Dillsnufus 12-29-2005 06:14 PM

I just like the three major thrash artists (metallica,pantera,slayer(there thrash right?)) someone should do a group like this for grunge music all that there is now is pearl jam... to my knowledge.

Pantera aren't really thrash. And Metallica was only thrash for there first 2 albums. But anyways, welcome to the forum, and also there have been many grunge threads, but they always die out.

Metallica= was thrash
Pantera =/= thrash
Slayer= tiresome since Reign in Blood.

You mentioned Pearl jam and grunge in this thread. That is pure blasphemy, sir.

now, I don't claim to be an expert on thrash, like most of the regs in this thread are, but goddamn, bro, I beseech you to seek out some Sodom, Exodus, Testament, Destruction, old Kreator, S.O.D. and Artillery!

/purifies the weak

PS: Welcome to the forums, dude/etee. <3

It's okay, I'm just messing around with you. I personally don't really like Slayer after South of Heaven.

I have discovered buried treasure. I really like Morbid Saint, and I've been searching for Spectrum of Death after I heard the song Assassin. And I have now found a site that has the whole Spectrum of Death album for download.

Just kidding. Good thing you got it though. It's a great DVD. Especially during the Bestial **** Up.

Schmier. Hahahahahahahahahaha.

FatalEnergy 12-30-2005 03:10 AM

Yeah, the DVD is pretty awesome. It's much better than the Kreator DVD, but even though I don't have the Sodom DVD yet, I'm sure that one will be cooler.

Are Bathory any good? I've heard a bit about them but never heard any of their stuff:upset:

Apocalyptic Raids 12-30-2005 03:22 AM

Bathory are pretty good. They are more of a Black Metal band though, and I don't know whether you're into that.

Sph 12-30-2005 03:25 AM

I'm into anything:) They sound pretty cool, I might check 'em out sometime.
