i feel sheltered, i've never really traveled outside the u.s. Been to Canada twice, but that doesnt really count. Hopefully this summer i'm going to take a trip to Holland
You live really close to the border as well. You should be here every other week.

Does anyone know the drinking age in London?

Polyamarous 03-13-2007 01:29 PM

To be honest, I'm very happy wih him, and I think most people are. But the war in Iraq is not to be overlooked, we had no reason and no right to be there at all and I think thats counted against him so much that when all his other faults get added to the equation he looks terrible.

That entire campaign is a joke. I still say that the Iraq War is just the beggining to something larger.

It may not happen for a decade or so, but something unexpected is going to happen because of that mess.

I'm off to class, later guys.

Polyamarous 03-13-2007 01:39 PM

All i can say is thank god iraq doesnt have any weapons of mass destruction.

Personally I would be more worried about Iran and North Korea.

But thats for the Political discussion thread.

Polyamarous 03-13-2007 01:46 PM

North Korea aint stupid, they can't possibly hope to gain anything by firing nukes, plus the amount that would be fired back at them would be phenominal.

pukeboy66 03-13-2007 01:48 PM

Didn't they shut down their factories anyway? or was that just one.

Kind of makes me glad I live in the southern hemisphere

Polyamarous 03-13-2007 01:51 PM

I'll suck my own díck of they actually have.
Kind of makes me glad I live in the southern hemisphere
I'll bet, plus you're all pretty safe down there.

Except for the whole Boer war, that didn't sound any fun.

pukeboy66 03-13-2007 01:56 PM

February: The fifth round of the six-party talks conclude with an agreement. Pyongyang promises to shut down the Yongbyon reactor in exchange for 50,000 metric tons of fuel aid, with more to follow upon verification that the site has been permanently disabled. IAEA inspectors will be re-admitted, and the United States will begin the process of normalizing relations with North Korea

unless I'm reading that wrong...

Thonk 03-13-2007 01:56 PM

Wow.

I just watched part of this documentary on Sierra Leone.. It's amazing that our news channels are flooded with Brittany Spears' garbage and not something that's actually important.

HAHAHAHA

Brits fighting Boers over 100 years ago.

A bit like bring up the civil war, does not really feature in day to day conversation.

And a useless fact for you, the Brits were the first nation to make use of concentration camps.

But onto more interesting matters.

BenJammin 03-13-2007 02:05 PM

I've started going back through my songs and seeing what can/can't be played live.

All of my songs but 1 are looped. Would it be really awkward to play a bunch of looped tunes, and then bust out one solo song?

pukeboy66 03-13-2007 02:13 PM

Pretty much.

Thonk 03-13-2007 02:14 PM

Maybe do the solo one first?

Or just make it a looped song..

BenJammin 03-13-2007 02:15 PM
Maybe do the solo one first?

Hmm... it wouldn't really work as a looped song. It's, like, 75% harmonics.

Thonk 03-13-2007 02:19 PM

Then my first suggestion.

Or just not play it at all.

BenJammin 03-13-2007 02:22 PM
Then my first suggestion.

Hm. Yeah. But I like the song. :p Maybe I'll play it first, and find a song (or write one) that I can lead it into.

Thonk 03-13-2007 02:28 PM

I never thought a set list would need so much preparation, haha.

BenJammin 03-13-2007 02:30 PM
I never thought a set list would need so much preparation, haha.
You ever tried to play solo? :p

A lot of the songs I've written aren't designed to be played live, because of the sublties in them that add to the atmosphere that would take me forever and a day to build up in a live environment, and the point is to get my song established in an efficient manner while still keeping people interested.

In my last band we kind of just .. went on and played whatever.

Again, not really an option. :p

I've got maybe 7 songs ready to be played right out of the metaphorical box.

The rest I have to rearrange, or scrap.

AlmightyPancake 03-13-2007 04:43 PM

I'm friggen hungry.

M__ 03-13-2007 05:09 PM
Why not order locally?
well, im going to do something like that now. i figured just eliminate the middle man. but, so when i ordered the bass(Sunday the 4th) they had it in stock, now because they messed up its out of stock and i would have to wait more then a month to get it. when i should have had it last Friday. so i get on the phone with a supervisor and he is a huge dick and i end up just getting refunded

(haha sorry to rant)
