No no, that's just an excuse to be elitist. Dream Theater bores me. Tool bores me. I appreciate tons of music (more than you do apparently :D) I think you're off the mark here, and if you can't appreciate the musicianship it requires to write catchy music, you can't appreciate more eloquent music imo.

Being able to write a good hook is a rare skill.

The best part of my day today was buying Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells, Radiohead - Hail To The Theif, The Verve - Urban Hymns and Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger, and seeing the look on the face of the HMV clerk. I could tell he wanted to ask me if I knew which genre each of these bands were.

I already knew all this about Vintersorg, it just needed time to type it up and such. Today was a perfect day, no work and nothing to do.

But I hopefully plan to get a few more done in the near future because some bands need some more attention then they are getting now.

I also ordered the new Fantomas album, from Amazon. Mainly because it was cheaper from there than I think I would ever find it in real life anyway :-/ Thankfully the packaging alone was worth it.
