how come we cant post pics in these thread???

Dude3 06-25-2005 12:29 AM

I hope they take them off. Or at least only keep them on for concerts(even though I rather them take the masks off). Its so stupid that even during interviews and crap, they keep the masks on.

Ehh, not too much. I like them and all, but I don't think they are great. I saw them on the Sublinal Verses tour though.

I'm going to bed. Goodnight MX!

True dat

m_Unk_Y 06-25-2005 01:18 AM
True dat
that is a good song...but what about Eeyore...

that displays so much technical skill from most of the members...especially joey :thumb:

vocman 06-25-2005 01:41 AM

meh, I think the masks are a kind of gimmick you got used to.I'd prefer them to keep them (especially when performing).besides, some of the masks look tough :).
best slipknot song IMO is 'Everything Ends'

King_Karl 06-25-2005 03:22 AM
Slipknot is gay and ur all posers and yes im a noob so blow me
Well done.

the_Leperakorn 06-25-2005 05:12 AM

I personally feel Eeyore, Nameless and Duality are the best three. Yes its good but anyone who says Wait and Bleed deserves to be shot in the back of the neck and rolled into a ditch.

slit_21 06-25-2005 05:17 AM

Wait and bleed, lol I like almost oll of there music off of volume 3, most of it of the Slipknot s/t and a couple songs off of Iowa.

dimenwylde22 06-25-2005 10:28 AM

ok
Slipknot is gay and ur all posers and yes im a noob so blow me
you suck

pondlife 06-25-2005 10:32 AM

Subliminal verses is good, esp for getting in to slipknot, but it lacks everything that S/T and iowa has

dimenwylde22 06-25-2005 10:36 AM

my most favorite song on subliminal verses is befor i forget

jc_dunn 06-25-2005 01:22 PM
my most favorite song on subliminal verses is befor i forget
Same here.

to the guy that said slipknot was gay and to blow him or whatever: YOU ARE IGNORANT

as for the masks... i think they're cool. If i was a rock star i wouldn't mind wearing a mask because i would still wanna be able to walk through the shopping mall and such.

Kage 06-25-2005 02:01 PM

Which is?
Which is?
He's probably referring to the aggression.

Dude3 06-25-2005 02:05 PM

For some reason, I didn't really enjoy Vol.3. I thought the first 2 were WAY better. It has nothing to do with the direction of their music. Just, for some reason, I liked them a lot more.

Moses 06-25-2005 02:07 PM

I need to find MFKR. Definately the most artistic one.

m_Unk_Y 06-25-2005 02:17 PM
I need to find MFKR. Definately the most artistic one.
yeah it is...but just dont be shocked kind of when you listen...its really different...

especially on vocals :p ...you probably know why

pondlife 06-26-2005 09:10 AM

MFKR is very different, its got metal tracks on it, jazz/disco sounding tracks and funk.
try www.slipknot-metal.com/audio for a taster of it if u want/

thanks, but i have the album tho...

come to think of it...i have alot more recordings from them before MFKR :p

wellll its kinda like an interesting thing, ya know what i mean? like noone knows what they look like (or is supposed to) so you could say that they have that sense of mystery, and the masks make them seem alot more badass on stage.

PepsiMetal 06-26-2005 01:51 PM

Anyone have a live performed video of vermillion pt2? I can't find that song anywhere (live.) although I also couldn't find the first part.

kind of have to disagree with you there...if you wanna see them unmasked here ya go...

Slipknot Unmasked

alot of people have sene them unmasked...especially due to their sideprojects

BassMasterMike88 06-26-2005 02:51 PM

Thats not much of a shocker, Cory is always unmasked when he's with Stone Sour, which i gotta admit is a pretty good side project, songs like Blotter and Get Inside kinda sound like Knot, but songs like Bother are pretty different.

bigdudedrummr07 06-26-2005 02:55 PM

i like slipknot and i think joey jordison is an amazing drummer, but then, why does the band have a separate person for "percussion"...isnt that like slapping joey in the face? because it seems that they don't find joeys rythms enough and so have a second person...any ideas on why the have the extra guy?

m_Unk_Y 06-26-2005 02:56 PM

yeah...stone sour is a really good band...

you can't forget about james in his band tho ;)

hahaha....they have two percussionists...clown (shawn) and chris...

im not sure why, but with them, it does give a better effect to it...kind of helps forms joeys back bone (which is a kickass drummer)...

but ever since slipknot was formed, they always said they were gonna have the 3 drummers...way before MFKR was recorded they used two percussions...clown and anders (old vocalists)

Dude3 06-26-2005 02:59 PM

Yeah, Corey is seen unmasked a lot. Joey is too.

Hey, I didn't know Mick was helping do the Death tribute with James Murphy! Awesome.

bigdudedrummr07 06-26-2005 03:00 PM

ah k, well, i stil think joey wud b able to do it himself but i do agree that the eventual effect they have is quite brilliant

heavy metal kid 06-26-2005 03:04 PM
joeys back bone (which is a kickass drummer)...
i probably get superflamed by this comment but imo, Joey isn't that great, he sounds awesome because he's in a nu-metal band and all the other musicians make him sound great.
I found Joey like an average death metal drummer.

Agreed. He's awesome, but there are just so many better drummers out there.

to each their own...i can see what you mean...

there are better drummers than joey, jon bonman, rick allen (i admire the hell out of him for playing with one arm)...

anyways, i just feel joey carries himself superb...i have seen them 13 times...and his solos always amaze me.. :)

i have great respect for him tho even more i gotten ahold of some of his recordings from 92 when the original lineup was formed

but then again...its just how i view it...and everyone has their own views :thumb:

pondlife 06-27-2005 09:27 AM

Do u meen from their crowz recording? i d love to know were i could get to hear some of their unrealesed material, and i dont meen unreleased as in sonds like carve of things the put on as bonus tracks.

http://www.slipknot-metal.com has, or had, the first part performed at some awards show in Holland (or Denmark?)

They don't do part 2 live, they just use the recording from the CD.

Sleeper 06-27-2005 10:21 AM

I have that vid, Its cool to see there death masks.
