Yeah man, one of the best bands within this genre I've heard lately. I just got The Language of Cities and it's very very good but I do prefer Inventions for the New Season a little more.
I got The Language of Cities, and it's pretty good. I need some more listens with it though to get it a little more.

Post-rock titles have a tendency to get out of hand sometimes.

I liked Mono's Walking Clouds and Deep Red Sky..., and Maserati is just great.

Nothing personal, man, I'm just trying to start a steel-fisted revolution against generic post rock.

Txus 04-17-2007 11:38 PM

Yah, don't worry. I like my shitty post rock ;)

Sleepy 04-17-2007 11:40 PM

As of 4/17/07, you are still unsuccessful. Oh well.

Also, insurrection > revolution. Forcing a revolution is the same as maintaining a dictatorship.

Kage 04-17-2007 11:53 PM

Terminology aside, my campaign will one day succeed

Kyle 04-18-2007 11:23 AM

I'm seeing Explosions in the Sky tomorrow....AND...am EXCITED about it.

Put that in your revolution and smoke it.

Owned.

Besides, Kage can't start a revolution; revolutions usually require the revolutionary to have at least a little bit of charisma.

Dies Irae 04-18-2007 01:31 PM

oh man bwnstl is feisty

bwnstl 04-18-2007 03:44 PM

Hah, not really, I just like being sarcastic and Kage has been the target of it lately.

no propellers 04-18-2007 05:16 PM

Has anyone else caught Do Make Say Think on their tour?

They were amazing in Detroit.

Kayetan, thanks for the link, I'm enjoying them.

Nepenthe 04-18-2007 08:31 PM

Is anyone else slightly dissapointed by DMSTs newest? It's good, but it seems like a step backward to me.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-18-2007 08:32 PM

I hated it.

Nepenthe 04-18-2007 08:35 PM

It's too... accessible.

Gifts From Enola, Laura, Jakob, Te, Del Rey, Windmills By The Ocean, The Ascent Of Everest, and Rosolina Mar are all ****in ace though.

Txus 04-18-2007 08:53 PM

Ohh man, Jakob and Té are awesome! So is Windmills By The Ocean, Untitled 4 is soo good!

Sleepy 04-18-2007 08:56 PM

I love Jakob and The Ascent of Everest.

I liked the Cats and Cats and Cats you uploaded a while back, Mike.

Nepenthe 04-18-2007 08:56 PM

I love Tes song titles! haha.

I'm not good with remembering which Windmills songs I like because of the names, but I know one of the ones 1-4 is one of my favorites (if that narrows it down at all), and 6.

I'm actually listening to Jakob right now haha.

Txus 04-18-2007 08:59 PM
I liked the Cats and Cats and Cats you uploaded a while back, Mike.
Yeah, it's some good Post rock man. I'll a Post Rock/Shoegaze haha issue in a week or so :)
I love Tes song titles! haha.
Avarice Would Speak With Every Word, It "Acts" Every Part And It Even Pretends To Be Not Avaricious \m/

Kyle 04-19-2007 02:47 AM

I didn't know anyone knew Cats and Cats and Cats, they're awesome.

Does anyone know Tired Irie? They're kinda local round here, but did a split single with C+C+C. Well good.

ThePinkPanther 04-19-2007 02:20 PM
