Kif 03-18-2006 06:55 PM

28 Days Later sucks. I expected it to be amazing after the hype, but it's dull and so badly structured.
28 Days Later sucks. I expected it to be amazing after the hype, but it's dull and so badly structured.
I still have yet to see it, but I want to.

I think I might finish off the night watching some Family Guy.

Kif 03-18-2006 07:21 PM

I finished off my evening... well, late morning, but watching an episode of Futurama (The Star Trek one), then being bored and not falling asleep.

And do yourself a favour and not see that movie. The idea of people being infected with rage is brilliant on paper, but they pulled it off quite poorly. There's little "zombie" action, and what you do see is usually between the army and them.

So it's a crappy movie...because there are no Zombies? It's not supposed to be a Zombie movie.

"Boyle has written that 28 Days Later is not a science fiction or horror film, but rather a drama. Indeed, the film's "zombie moments" are few and far between, and the bulk of the running time is dedicated to character study and building suspense."
"This our new song."

JUN JUN WEEEEEEEEEEEE JUN JUN JUN WEE WEEE

"This our ballad."

JUN JUN WEEEEEE JUNN JUN EEEEE ROARRR JUN WEEEE JUN JUN JUN
The new album has some songs with no breakdowns, and the breakdowns are seriously cut down, with usually one per song.

As opposed to Women and Children Die First...which is mostly breakdowns.

Kif 03-18-2006 08:36 PM

When did I say it was crappy because there are no zombies? Infact, I gave other reasons as well, jackass.

Besides which, the drama in it is always quite random as well. It's like War Of The Worlds, where it focus' on one family and how they cope with the apocolypse. Except there are crazy people trying to kill and eat each other. The guy likes the girl, but when she kisses him, he walks off. The father treats his daughter like crap in one scene, then like, well, his daughter the next. And the whole thing about the military kidnapping the two girls and killing the guy, the only survivors known in Britain, is just ridiculous. I know what the writers were going for, but I don't think they pulled it off well. There are character developments you don't even see most of the time, which is confusing as well.

And you use Wikipedia way too much ;)

Now it's half 2 in thw morning and I'm tired as fux. I'm off to bed. The Hole is on Channel 4 tomorrow, might watch that.
When did I say it was crappy because there are no zombies? Infact, I gave other reasons as well, jackass.
Yeah, but I've never seen the movie, so that was the only one of the two points you made that I could refute.
The guy likes the girl, but when she kisses him, he walks off. The father treats his daughter like crap in one scene, then like, well, his daughter the next.
Yes, when faced with the apocolypse, one should be expected to act rationaly, logically, and completely sane.

Okay.
And the whole thing about the military kidnapping the two girls and killing the guy, the only survivors known in Britain, is just ridiculous
.

West is ****ing insane. All the soldiers are ****ing insane. You would be too if all of your loved ones - nay, your entire country, were turned into ravenous murderous beasts.

I don't see how that's ridiculous.
And you use Wikipedia way too much ;)
Yes, yes I do.
