I have heard, I think Trivium should do a great job of MoP. However I am dreading hearing the Funeral For A Friend and Fightstar covers.
OMG! who got them in there? seriously...

SimonCore 03-22-2006 03:51 PM

I saw Trivium cover MOP on friday. Some dude from the crowd sang it though...fairplay he was good. I've seen them do it on online vids and they do it really well.

That site is pretty freaking good.

I've noticed they have Rain titled as Drowned And Torn Asunder though...

Yeah, that is a cool site.

SimonCore 03-23-2006 11:25 AM

^^Yeah but it only seems to have Trivium the only metal band on there!

toolfreak 03-25-2006 05:30 AM

Hey havnt been in here for awhile i just wanted to know is anyone else sorta nervous about the new album like the direction there going in?

SimonCore 03-25-2006 05:31 AM

^ No as because apprently it's more old school metal, so it'll still be metal so that;s fine with me:D As long as it doesn't suck.............

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 06:35 AM

with the new album, i really hope Trivium dont take the unfortunate success of "Dying In Your Arms" too seriously, as that sucked. i hope they continue and develope their thrashy metal sounds and continue to make bands like 'tallica, deth, sabbath and maiden proud.

i also hope that Matt manages to start screaming more efficiently, so as not to blow himself out every gig. but while doing this it would be good if he maintains his great sounding voice.

There's going to be less screaming like it is now. it's going to be more gritty vocals methinks.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 08:06 AM

thats allright. matt does some decent grittyness on Declaration. but then again i dont like the harcore "bear witness to me" part.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 10:01 AM

I'm pretty excited about the knew CD actually.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 10:07 AM

yea, who isn't. The Crusade, isn't it? as i said earlier that i hope that they eradicate their hardcore element.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 10:08 AM
yea, who isn't. The Crusade, isn't it? as i said earlier that i hope that they eradicate their hardcore element.
Hmmm. Give an example? Which songs in particular?

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 10:24 AM

Dying In Your Arms. and other vocal bits like when he sings "bear witness to me" on Declaration. although there are some really good vocals on that track besides.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 10:24 AM

^I forgot to say except dying in your arms! But nah, i'd definetly class them as a metal band.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 10:38 AM

they're officially metalcore, but they're at the far-metal end of the, shall we say, metalcore spectrum. what i'm saying is that they should convert wholly to metal and lose the hardcore hintage. i said before that i hope that they dont take the unfortunate success of DIYA too seriously.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 10:40 AM

DIYA is a hundred times better live! But i don't think anyone has really noticed the DIYA video. It's seems to be fading out.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 10:55 AM

ive seen it, and ive seen them do it live. its a good song, just not for me. i really dont like hardcore. it's for the ladies. indeed, when Trivium played in Exeter, England when i watched them, Matt actually said "and this one is for the ladies." before playing it. ilmao.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 10:57 AM

^lol. i saw them in Cardiff last friday it was amazing IMO. Did they say "this is our last song" when they played it? And then they did an encore.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 11:08 AM

same here. i saw them last saturday lol. i was so pissed off when they said DIYA was the last but i forgot about encores. our encore was pull harder... yours??

they also did seek and destroy, MOP, Walk, Domination, etc. truly brilliant.

what does IMO mean?

SimonCore 03-25-2006 11:10 AM

Yeah they did piss take green day covers and all them you listed. IMO means 'in my opinion'.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 12:54 PM

yea lol same in exeter. they started playing punk and everyone gave the middle finger, and Matt was like "what, you didn't like that??"

SimonCore 03-25-2006 01:01 PM
yea lol same in exeter. they started playing punk and everyone gave the middle finger, and Matt was like "what, you didn't like that??"
I wouldn't call Green Day punk.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 01:02 PM

i wasn't referring to Green Day.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 01:04 PM

^ they didn't play any punk.

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 01:40 PM

not in cardiff, no, but i didn't go to cardiff did i? i'm talking about in exeter, where they played some definate punk.

SimonCore 03-25-2006 01:58 PM
not in cardiff, no, but i didn't go to cardiff did i? i'm talking about in exeter, where they played some definate punk.
A specific example?

Rattlehead 03-25-2006 02:01 PM

no idea what it was as i don't listen to punk, but it was obviously punk.
