wow, i hope he remixes the album once again, because on his debut album you hear the 'poor' quality of the instruments/synth/etc.
|
Good News: Pretty Hate Machine is going to be reissued on Nov.22! Finally after being out of print for quite some time. Anyway, it might be released in surround sound, with some bonus tracks and remixes...and perhaps a deluxe packaging? Awesome.
nice, I was afraid I'd have to import it. This is good news. :thumb: |
...at the hollywood bowl was the last show that i will play with nine inch nails.
contrary to many published reports in the music press, i want to make it clear that my departure from the band has absolutely NOTHING to do with my health. i've learned much about myself and those around me (particularly in the last month) and it's brought about many positive changes. my association with the organization has opened many doors- i'm grateful and i'm ready to move on. although i appreciate the concern, i am not sick or recouperating. i feel great (physically and otherwise) and am playing the best drums of my life right now. more later.............jerome. :upset: Bummer! I liked him with NIN. |
hm? what the hell.....
is the drummer leaving the band or did i misunderstood something..... |
Yeah, Jerome Dillon has been drumming with NIN since The Fragile days...and now he's gone. I guess this kinda explains some of Reznor's recent posts at nin.com..maybe.
|
post..? hm...
/check this out edit: can't find it... |
He already has.....
Jerome Dillon hasn't been playing with NIN for like 3 weeks. That post by him is just him saying that he won't be coming back. Alex Carepetis(sp?) has been filling in quite well for the last few weeks. |
I'm listening to Radiant Decay again, and the version of Something I Can Never Have that's on there is far more beautiful than I remember it being. I love the female vocals.
|
My favourite PHM song excluding SICNH and HLAH would probably be Sin or Terrible Lie.
|
I think that is NINs worst album, personally.

Hmm...this I have not heard. An upload is in order, perhaps? |
Sure thing. Album or song.
And I thought you had posted you e-mail in here recently, but I can't find it, so can you post it again. If your still looking for Deadwing I can do that now as well |
Album, if you don't mind. :)
And I'm not looking for Deadwing...I've had it for a while  saydstrings@gmail.com |
Album, if you don't mind. :)
And I'm not looking for Deadwing...I've had it for a while  saydstrings@gmail.com
 Really? I must be confusing usernames with someone in the PT thread. 27 hours without sleep does that. Uploading now.
I think that is NINs worst album, personally.
Radiant Decay? I'm inclined to agree. Most of the mixes are pretty mediocore. It's worth it just for the version of SICNH though. EDIT: Sorry Kage, upon further inpection I realised I meant Signify. I don't know where I got Deadwing from. I don't even own it. |

skorpio_f@msn.com THanks. |
hm, there is one thing i always wanted to know.
Why are you listening to Nine Inch Nails!? what is it? only the music, the lyrics? do you listen to him, because you are depressive? And the second thing is. When was your first contact with Nine Inch Nails, and in what form... through a friend, girlfriend, radio... what was your first song? did you like NIN from the first song on, or did you need time? can't wait for your responses.... |

I just love the music. I love the fact that Reznor composes it all himself, and how emotional it is. I like the way he uses machines to create very real and human music. He's ingenius with his use of layering and songwriting. He can be one of the most abbrassive artists I listen to, and then turn around and be the complete opposite...pure beauty. But there's also beauty in his loud sound too. The first time I heard NIN was when I was going on a search for their music, because the logo intrigued me. Honestly, that's the reason. I saw the logo and heard about "this band called Nine Inch Nails" and I was very intrigued by it. So I heard Head Like a Hole and I liked it. After a while, I bought the Fragile and was completely blown away. |

First song I listened to is "We're in This Together" I saw it on MTV when the video came out. I loved that song and always will remain my favorite by NIN. But I did need some time, I didn't like everything by them until I saw them in concert about a month ago. When I saw their live performance and how it blew everything that I've seen up to that point out of the water...I really started giving everything else a more honest, focused listen. I really have found a lot of material that I absolutely love. I love The Fragile, but Pretty Hate Machine is my favorite by NIN. |

Exactly! I couldn't have put it any other way. Just love the music and emotion it carries. I first heard of NIN (on the radio) in 1994 when TDS came out and "Closer" was the first song I heard. I liked "Hurt" but that was it. I really didn't get into them until about four or five years ago. I took me a few listens to get really into them and after that I was pretty much just hooked. :thumb: |

Natural Born Killers is such a great film... i have seen him about five times or even more. The scene where SICNH is played couldn't have been better for this song and film! And the song "Burn" is one of the greatest songs Trent ever wrote :D |
Yeah NBK = great movie.
I'm just listening to the Radiant Decay album.Female vocals on SICNH are so good and fitting. |
Phew, I couldn't remember if I ended up sending you the link to that or not, but obviously I did. The female vocals make SICNH even more beautiful that it already is.
The Frail was the other song that featured in Natural Born Killers right? |
Nope it was A Warm Place. The movie was made in 1994 so Frail couldn't make the cut.
|
Ah good point.
It's been ages since I've seen it though, I might watch it tonight. |
Would anyone happen to have "Right Where It Belongs V.2"? If so, I'd really appreciate it if someone would send it to me at skorpio_f@msn.com , please. I'm having a hard time finding it elsewhere.
