They aren't condeming any specific religion, but organized religion in general because of how [optinion]hypocritcal and ridiculous it is[/opinion].

Besides, if you think it sounds good, just listen to it, even if you don't agree with the message it's conveying.

Sound Boy 10-31-2005 06:45 AM

He's amazing. He's my biggest influence along with Matt Bellamy. I really like the way he turns his guitar into an ambient instrument with the use phasers and the like.

blaxarbush 10-31-2005 11:11 AM

Whats going on. Whats you guys talking about

mutant! 10-31-2005 11:21 AM

Um... we're talking about... um... Incubus, ok?! See? "Official Incubus Thread". 'Nuff said.

I realize your new and want to appologize for the behaviour of Mutant! there. Hes on medication. He needs his daily dose of Einzingerium

But yes, this is the Official Incubus Thread. All Incubus info goes here, and if you don't get it here, it most likely hasn't happened, or you're having one of those weird daydreaming things.

So yes. Welcome to the thread, and MX in general.

That guy who sings Pardon Me like it's a 50 Cent knock-off! I abhor him! Then there's the chick who dances all retarded like during Circles.

I feel Like a Hat 10-31-2005 10:34 PM

AHHH. EVerytime i watch the dvd I always make fun of people in the crowd. Have you guys seen the girl going crazy with her arms behind Brandon during the beginning of circles?

On the topic of that scene on the After Sessions dvd, are you talking about when he was laying on the ground and the security guy came over? I'm pretty sure they were pretending he got beat up and pissed on.

periculosus 11-01-2005 01:45 AM

Can someone recommend me some of their lesser known, "rockier" songs. I always have found Incubus intriguing, though I have never quite liked the songs I heard. :)

On the newest album (A Crow Left Of The Murder), you can try:
01. Megalomaniac
02. A Crow Left Of The Murder
06. Sick, Sad Little World
10. Zee Deveel

As far as I'm concerned their newer stuff is much more rock, whereas their older work leans more towards metal.

Well, actually the more metal stuff sounds more interesting. I said "rockier" because their popular songs(ie singles) are mostly real soft stuff.

Or funk metal?

Any news on a new Incubus album peeps?

mutant! 11-01-2005 08:32 AM
Or funk metal?
Let's not start that debate again. They aren't funk metal, although they were definitely metal. Funk was one of their many influences, the list of which includes hip-hop and traditional Chinese folk music as well.

The boys are recording it right now (or very soon), as I have it. I can't wait to see in what direction their music is growing.
Well, actually the more metal stuff sounds more interesting.
OK then, try Nice To Know You, Circles and Under My Umbrella off of Morning View; Privilege and Make Yourself off of Make Yourself; and Favourite Things and Vitamin off of S.C.I.E.N.C.E.

I feel Like a Hat 11-01-2005 09:24 AM
