yeah i've never really understood the american system. what is that you're exactly studying, and why do you have to study finance when you don't want to?

Business/Marketing

probably going to focus in on Marketing Research

they want you to be "well rounded", in other words, they want to milk you for as long as they can. Every major has to take classes that are in the same grouping.

For example, every Business major has to take a semester (two 10 week courses) of Econ, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Operations Management, Marketing, etc.

And since I'm Marketing I have to take a bunch of Marketing-related classes. And on top of this you have to take a poopload "General Education" classes like Biology, Foreign Language, English, Algebra, etc etc etc

I'm still only about half way done until I graduate, fml
