I could take a 0 on all my finals, and still walk across the stage. lowest grade would be a 68. Senior year was eeeeaaaaassssssyyyyyyy. |

its because your a post whore. |
Worked on my drum sound. Got the toms to be better but they still are pretty bad. Snare is snarier with less ring but more presence. Kick was pretty good the way i had it so i didn't bother to work on it much. And i spent a lot of time getting the perfect time delay for my overheads and room mics.
Good day for me. In Sonar is there anyway to automatically set a time delay on a track? Every time i record something I have to spend over a minute splitting tracks and shifting them over, is there any easier way to do that? And also by time delay i mean time shortening because the OH's/room are behind by 6 and 140 miliseconds respectively (140 because the reverb i have on) so i'm actually moving them back, closer to the start. |
george nooooooooooooooooooooo
|
fishbulb, use the 3 to 1 rule. For example, if you have an OH mic, the room mic needs to be 3 times the distance from the source that the OH is, to prevent phase issues.
So true.
Those cars are so uninteresting, I wish I knew why so many people bought them.
The 911 is boring until you drive it, then you see how scarily fast and accurate it is. |
the pogues are a fun band to listen to late at night.

I'd still never buy one. Even if I had the money. That front end... Although, I've been spoilt by my dad's choice in cars. There's a Vantage in our garage. Now THAT is a nice car. |
Wooo on the way I have
Drum mics Sonor jungle snare A rug for my kit and 3 cds :D:D:D oh the cds are Bad Religion-No Control Jurassic 5-Power In Numbers Paice, Ashotn & Lord-Malice In Wonderland (awsome band, one of the best drummers and best organists of all time on this record) |

The 911 is the perfect example of how the Germans can come up with a terrible idea, and tweek it for 30 years to make it a super car. They still have the aerodynamics of a brick, but they are getting better. I've had two, and the diff between an 84 and a 95 in handling is amazing. The rear end still likes to step out on the 95, but is was at least predictable where as the 84 was a mystery. |
If only we'd given them 30 more years in WWII.

My piss is clean! Got the job. :thumb:
I've been really diggin' The Roots lately. All I have is right now Game Theory. What's the next album I should grab? I've been told their new one is really good. |
Manned up and quit my job last week.
Best feeling ever - there was something wrong about going to band practice and mid song, starting to think about what needed to get done at work the next day and not focusing on the music. Obelisk he had a plan... EI, EI, oh (yeah). |
i kind of want to quit my job but i have no other work options right now so i'm sticking with it.
and sponer, i've only heard a couple songs off the new roots cd but they were all tight. get that one. |
Since I figured out how to run the vocal mic through my recorder and out into the PA, I can now record rehearsals with vocals!
So today I recorded the whole setlist for our gig tomorrow. I decided against recording our gig tomorrow since my band wants to mic up my entire set and that doesn't leave me with any room mics, since the mics I was gonna put front of house are my OH's. Anyway, I have to seperate each song and mix them individually, and two-three songs were not recorded because of a weird hard drive error, but I'm gonna put up tons of audio by next week! |
Colorado is stupid as hell.
Driving on I-70 from Denver to Grand Junction takes you right through the Rocky Mountains. Now, it's May 23rd, right? And it was snowing. Snowing. |
Yay! I'm done my math cpt and im doing the exam tomorrow. I think i'm prepared.
