i thing they should put great music in the next album, something heavy, fast and melodic.

Reasons
New bassist,ex-member of a good metal band.
The last album wasn't really good.
The last tour was a success, and they play old stuff.
i love the new bassist, he really gets into it playing live

JACKROXYOU 03-29-2005 09:15 PM

yea you can hear it

Chu 03-29-2005 09:22 PM
yea heavy bass and old guitar distortion are better in my opinion then no bass and trashcans
Are you saying you can't hear the bass in St. Anger?

heavy metal kid 03-29-2005 09:49 PM
Are you saying you can't hear the bass in St. Anger?
the bass on st. anger sound to forced, not the way it should be played.

I don't really agree with that, I think it's pretty good...
Then again, I guess I don't really understand what you mean.
Are you saying you can't hear the bass in St. Anger?
Course you can hear the bass!!!, You can't miss it. lol
I think its pretty good bassing on st Anger, the riffs are cool, its just the crunchy guitars, trashcan drums, and general bad production

the bass is simple on st.anger, bob isnt that good of a bass player so the bass lines were hella easy

Joe 03-29-2005 10:47 PM
yea heavy bass and old guitar distortion are better in my opinion then no bass and trashcans
haha great point.

so KEA > St. Anger? I think we all could agree on that

Joe 03-29-2005 10:48 PM
the bass is simple on st.anger, bob isnt that good of a bass player so the bass lines were hella easy
i disagree. he's not half bad. there's some loud bass on st anger, but it's not difficult or complex

willis2441 03-29-2005 10:49 PM
exactly, does bob play guitar and drums as well?

i know he plays drums, maybe guitar. (he doesn't play any on the album if that's what you want to know)
Joe 03-29-2005 11:11 PM

PepsiMetal 03-29-2005 11:41 PM
what?
He means Bob plays guitar, bass, and drums, but those 3 instruments aren't "all" instruments considering there are hundreds more. :thumb:

I think...

willis2441 03-29-2005 11:57 PM

no $hit huh?

wrongnote85 03-30-2005 12:13 AM

why?

Lithium141017 03-30-2005 12:39 AM

let's get back on Metallica. my top 5 by them are...

Enter Sandman
King Nothing
The Unforgiven
Through The Never
Ain't My Bitch

then again, i only have the black album and load

PepsiMetal 03-30-2005 01:43 AM

^^^^^^^^^^

Buy, download, steal, find, look for first 4 metallica albums. And saint anger. I like saint anger more than load/reload. And justice for all is a must hear album. Best!!!

Changing topic, I listened lately to some fear factory, and it seems as if their drummer used electronic drum set during recording. Anyone else like the sound of their drums? I think if lars used that whether it's electronic or not, it would make saint anger pretty **** good. Add to solos, and you got one helluva album.

TojesDolan 03-30-2005 01:47 AM

mmm...I guess my top 5 has to be:

1. Call of Ktulu
2. Fade to black
3. No leaf clover
4. Master of puppets
5. Battery

Also I think that the S&M album is fantastic, but many people I know disagree with me. Do you guys like the Symphonic album from Metallica? Any comments would help.

Six Foot Revolver 03-30-2005 04:30 AM

Drumma 03-30-2005 04:36 AM

blue3 03-30-2005 04:59 AM

Out of all the songs you know, Enter Sandman is still your favorite...

Drumma 03-30-2005 05:01 AM

st anger is good as well. i got bored listening through most of them, maybe ill listen to all of those albums later. Enter sandman is a good song though but i find the more you hear it on radio etc, the more you like it, because it grows on you
