Why does everybody always post 'Death Cab For Cutie - Photobooth' in a love songs thread when it is clearly not a love song and even contains lyrics like;

"It was pretty clear that this was hardly love"

and

"The cold air will rush your hard heart away"

I mean, how can that be a love song?
This is an extremely bigoted opinion, but I believe that girls have questionable taste in music because they are prone to making superficial decisions just as us guys are (i.e. liking a musician because he or she is attractive), but with rock music the overwhelming majority of musicians are male, so they have a wider array of good or horrible bands to choose from.

Ugh I don't know how to explain it, but basically I'm saying that men and women made stupid choices for liking a musician, but there are more male musicians in popular music so women have a greater chance of making bad choices :(
Gay people have bad taste, too; amirite?

I'm going to see the Black Keys and Edan. What an awesome combo.
Is that the one with Regina Spektor?...if so, that is really good. I also love their live cover of Velvet Undergrounds 'run run run'.
Sure is. I love that song so much.

It's a song of lost love if that helps.

Yeah but they make good singers. Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Elton John, Axl Rose, even Bob Mould of Husker Du!

Songs convey different emotions to different people. There are songs that make me feel happy, even though the lyrics aren't particually feel good.
I know female girls with good taste in music. But whoever said it is right, they always want to throw on Hanson now and then.
No no! Resist the Hanson!! I suppose we are slightly more likely to listen to cheese as well as decent stuff than you silly elitist indie boys.

Naturally I disagree entirely with the concept that girls have worse taste, but what did we expect? I think that everyone has their own superficial reason for liking certain bands, for rock chicks it may be the lead singer's looks, but don't tell me boys don't have stupid reasons for liking bands too, sometimes.

By the way, hello everyone, I've been the most rubbish poster in the world recently! How are you all?

I guess I agree though...

I know a few girls who only like the music their current boyfriend likes.

It's funny how you use the acronym (seemingly cuz ur la-z) but then you type out what it means anyway.

I have 1337 tracks played on audioscrobbler.

Zmev 10-04-2005 07:57 PM

I have none since the plug in never worked

robot 10-04-2005 08:00 PM

I always listen to a whole record, and then when I look on the website it shows all of the songs on recent tracks, but on the totals for the band it says I only listened to them once.

heres mine, I just got it today: http://www.last.fm/user/wtfizzuck

Little Man being Erased 10-04-2005 08:07 PM

I think you'll find that it just hasn't updated since you finished listening to the album.
Bunny hopping to dodge nagging.
You know it' really bad when you do things like that instinctively. Like when you're standing in line for something and there's a lot of people in front of you, you go "omgffs, fucking blocker noobs!". Or when your mother pulls away the curtains in the morning and lets the sunlight into your room, you go "omgffs, nice team flash you fuckking noob!". Or when eating you constantly shift your fork and knife between your two hands.

That's right kids, Counter-Strike and other violent online games can seriously injure your brain. Your brain!

Zappa 10-05-2005 01:42 PM

Computer games are retarded.

Luxor 10-05-2005 02:11 PM
