My day was fucking tiring. I played tackle football for 5 hours straight.

Bartender 02-04-2005 10:38 PM

Did you win?

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 02-04-2005 10:38 PM

My day is about to get better when I smoke a sweet in an hour. :D
Did you win?
I played like 7 games at this local park with like 20 friends. We were just messing around most of the time, and most of the games we repicked players, so I don't really know which games I won and lost. :-\

Bartender 02-04-2005 10:42 PM

You can safely claim you won, then.

Anyway, I'm off to bed. See you all (or however many of you ever come back) later.

Permanent Solution 02-04-2005 11:00 PM

All sorts of music. Anything but new country, pop, and mainstream rap for the most part.

Yeah, Bartender got bored and changed the name.

Freezing Moon 02-04-2005 11:14 PM

I don't listen to much Beatles at all actually, my biggest influences are blues based, from early classic rock bands and blues rock. Plus Metallica, of course.

35 posts and counting :)

Dancin' Man 02-04-2005 11:37 PM

I listen to a lot of progressive and avant-garde metal. after that just about anything, excluding country and oldies.

Joe 02-04-2005 11:38 PM

Have you ever listened to old country (aka "real" country) with like banjos and that sort of thing? It's actually very good, but the stuff you hear on the radio is just a lame ripoff and basically pop with a specific vocal style.

Eh, it's indirect then...

ZZ Top, Zeppelin, Hendrix are all bluesy influnces, otherwise it's stuff like Pink Floyd, The Who, that sort of stuff...too lazy to list em all though heh. But the more you listen to, the more you have to draw from. But my improv and soloing is all very blues based.

Dancin' Man 02-04-2005 11:50 PM

If by that you mean bluegrass and stuff, yes I have. My dad has a bunh of old records sitting around from when that was is thing.

Joe 02-04-2005 11:51 PM

white album influence, the very beginning of the soft part in MOP

Freezing Moon 02-04-2005 11:54 PM

My guitar influences are mainly...

Dave Mustaine
Marty Friedman
Dimebag Darrell
Alexi Lahio

I have some blues, etc. influences, but not as strong.

Song I just added is "Something New" for any interested (forgive me for sucking :()

Kurtz 02-05-2005 12:10 AM

Guitar influences:

Jeff Hanneman
Scott Ian
Gary Holt
Chuck Schuldiner
Bobby Gustafson
David Gilmore
Dimebag
Jim Durkin
Randy Rhoads

As you can see, I'm more of a rhythm guitarist than a lead.
