its best to buy them in stores becase theyre hand hammerd cast and lathed
so they can sound extremely different theyre still grreat for begginer and intermediat

hmm well with that you could probably get a beginner kit and a set of hans

im not sure about what kinda kit you could get im not sure what the price of sonor 505s are but look into them

also look in classifieds and any used trading magazines for your city you can often find good deals

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 05:11 PM

Well I'm looking for how much a Wuhan 4 set or something might cost and I cant find anything. Could somebody help me out with that. Thanks.

Jezen 11-14-2005 05:13 PM

Where are you based?

puppet.master2.0 11-14-2005 05:14 PM

online theyre pretty cheap

this site is great if you live in the states anywhere else just dont bother with them
http://www.idahopercussion.com

there are sellers on ebay who sell them for alittle bit more than that but wont try and screw you on shipping like idaho does

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 05:16 PM

Southern Illinois. About 1/2hour to an hour drive to the city of St Louis.

Jezen 11-14-2005 05:18 PM

Wow. If only I knew about them before I got my double pedals. Ah well. I don't like them aesthetically though.

puppet.master2.0 11-14-2005 05:26 PM

congrats BB :)

im likin the new avatar

Jezen 11-14-2005 05:29 PM

Any. They are all great. Me personally, I would go with Traditional but S Series is probably easier to find.

puppet.master2.0 11-14-2005 05:29 PM

i got the s series

my least favourite ot of treathems the ride just not the best sound but i still like it and all the other cymbals are great

also run a search and see if you can find DBJ's thread on the wuhans he got

it has sound clips

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 05:41 PM

Um.... I'm not finding that. Who exactly is DBJ??

Jezen 11-14-2005 05:41 PM

Double Bass Jim.

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 05:44 PM

Okay I guess I'm more than a bit new here.

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 05:56 PM

I can't find just like a Wuhan pack with hi-hats, crash, and a ride. I'm beginning to feel retarded.

metalmilitia101 11-14-2005 05:57 PM

look in the classified ads, there's sometimes something really good. about 6 months ago i got a 20" zbt ride, 16" zbt crash, 10" sabian AA splash-china, pearl boom stand, 2 tama straight stands, and a rogers stand. BTW FORGOT TO MENTION ALL THAT WAS FOR $150

nice nice, and this was just coming off of buying a 14" sabian B8 crash and a 16" sabian B8 crash for under 90 bucks...brand new from the store.

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 06:03 PM

Gosh everyone here is awesome.:thumb: This is officially where I'm coming when I have questions.

Jezen 11-14-2005 06:04 PM

Pleased to be of service. Now i'm going to sleep, as I have exams tomorrow :(

G'night chaps.

Phillip_schranck 11-14-2005 06:08 PM

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=perc/search/detail/base_pid/444088/c_lv=1/ I'd love it if I could get some feedback on this. It will fit perfectly into my budget if it is any good. If it is I will probably get it and http://www.idahopercussion.com/page/idp/PROD/Wuhan_S_Series/WUMLX-S1 which will cost around $400. Even thought I don't currently have $400 I hopefully will eventually.

RushHourSoul 11-14-2005 06:21 PM

That looks good to me - after buying that save up for some new heads and you'll have a nice little beginners kit!

metalmilitia101 11-14-2005 06:22 PM

agreed. thats really cheap, go for it

puppet.master2.0 11-14-2005 06:26 PM

ya looks like an okay begginer set
also glad we could be helpful phillip

Win A Rabbit 11-14-2005 08:15 PM

i just got 4 inches of my hair cut. it's still a bit longer than i wanted it, looks like i'll have to touch it up myself. another 2 inches or so. the last time i got it cut was june 2003. and before that, june 2000.

right now i'm learning 'while my guitar gently weeps', on piano. should keep me occupied for a while.

White 11-14-2005 09:09 PM
