Crap I can't wait for the new Harry Potter
 Harry Potter is really really lame.

Gnarmageddon 07-12-2005 08:54 PM

I stopped reading after the third one.

I have my copy pre-ordered. :)

I can't wait either.

ATM 07-12-2005 08:56 PM

I'm reading a book about vikings now.

Gnarmageddon 07-12-2005 08:58 PM

I was reading Solipsist, but I stopped. Henry Rollins is crazy.
I stopped reading after the third one.
But the 4th and 5th books are better...

Gnarmageddon 07-12-2005 09:13 PM

I might break down and read them sometime.

Tjebby 07-12-2005 09:16 PM

I'm reading Sherlock Holmes. Good stuff.

Zmev 07-12-2005 09:26 PM

I read a chapter of A Clockwork Orange today.

I don't like that book too much.

Glitterati 07-12-2005 09:33 PM

That books makes absolutely no sense.

ATM 07-12-2005 10:04 PM

Theramins are fun.

Tjebby 07-12-2005 10:10 PM

What are those?

RockISdead420 07-12-2005 10:13 PM

some sort of effects I believe.

Parfait 07-12-2005 10:16 PM

It's one of the first electronic instruments, and you play it without touching it. It sounds a little like someone molesting a gopher.

Tjebby 07-12-2005 10:17 PM

RockISdead420 07-12-2005 10:17 PM

The theremin is one of the oldest electronic instruments, and the only one known that you play without touching. Moving your hands in the space around its antennas controls pitch and volume. Like the Ethervox, the Etherwave is an authentic adaptation of inventor Leon Theremin’s original design.

google is my friend

Parfait 07-12-2005 10:20 PM

But I beat you without it.

BillCosby 07-12-2005 10:21 PM
That books makes absolutely no sense.
You just gotta use context, and you don't need to get hung up on the exact meanings of certain words. After you're a few chapters in, it starts to click.

So yeah. One of my favorite books.

Daniel! 07-12-2005 11:25 PM

I'm reading the Amdromeda Strain. And I just bought a Stooges shirt.

Glitterati 07-12-2005 11:34 PM

What's the Andromeda Strain about again?

And The Stooges rule.

Daniel! 07-12-2005 11:39 PM

A plaugue type thing that comes to earth and a bunch of scientists trying to stop it. Or at least that's what I've gathered so far. And yes, they do rule.

Zmev 07-12-2005 11:51 PM

Yes Stooges are good yes.

Parfait 07-13-2005 12:00 AM

My headphones make my ears sweaty.

Daniel! 07-13-2005 12:07 AM

I hate it when that happens.

Robert Crumb 07-13-2005 12:20 AM

I need better headphones. Perferably that don't make my ears sweaty.

The only other Anthony Burgess book I've read besides Clockwork Orange was End of World News, or something like that. Forget if that's exact title. I think it was unpublished when he croaked, got put out afterwards. It's neat, three stories going on simultaneously; a sci-fi end-of-the-world story, a story about Freud fleeing nazi Germany and a story about Trotsky in New York, set as a musical. They kind of tie together in the end.

YDload 07-13-2005 12:25 AM

Wow, I haven't posted a CD review for months but I still have the number 1 and 2 albums on Sputnik. That's what I get for squeezing "Toxicity" in during the earlier days of the forum.

Glitterati 07-13-2005 12:28 AM

I should become a mod. I'd be good at it.

The NPC 07-13-2005 12:36 AM
I should become a mod. I'd be good at it.
Oh you do? Are you sure?

Dog 07-13-2005 12:39 AM
I should become a mod. I'd be good at it.
I imagine that's what everyone thinks until they actually become a mod and realize that the retardation of many people is just too overwhelming(I'm assuming you mean Pit mod).

Glitterati 07-13-2005 01:04 AM
Oh you do? Are you sure?
DogInTheSand is right. If I was a pit mod, I'd go mad with power.

It'd be brutal if I became a R & M mod.
