You just gotta use context, and you don't need to get hung up on the exact meanings of certain words. After you're a few chapters in, it starts to click.

The only other Anthony Burgess book I've read besides Clockwork Orange was End of World News, or something like that. Forget if that's exact title. I think it was unpublished when he croaked, got put out afterwards. It's neat, three stories going on simultaneously; a sci-fi end-of-the-world story, a story about Freud fleeing nazi Germany and a story about Trotsky in New York, set as a musical. They kind of tie together in the end.

Wow, I haven't posted a CD review for months but I still have the number 1 and 2 albums on Sputnik. That's what I get for squeezing "Toxicity" in during the earlier days of the forum.
