That song is too awesome.
I've just been listening to the I Heart Hiroshima EP. |
Snow Patrol
Belle and Sebastian |
I've been diggin' on:
Rwake - Hell is a Door to the Sun. Some nice, thick, post-ish southern sludge stuff. Dig. The acoustic, foreign, David Bowie covers from The Life Aquatic. Plus some of the weird little Casio-ish soundtrack tracks. Dig. Kyuss - Blues for the Red Sun. I haven't played these chaps in a while. Except now I did. Dig. |
Tom Waits - Bone Machine
Tom Waits - Alice Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters Mischief Brew - Smash the Windows Me and 3 friends ditched school today to play video games and while that was happening i made them listen to these. It was a fun day. Head Hunters is such a smooth fu'ckin' album. And i ordered my ticket to see The Slackers on April 4th. Woo! |
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - s/t
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Orange The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Now I Got Worry Husker Du - New Day Rising Husker Du - Metal Circus
And i ordered my ticket to see The Slackers on April 4th. Woo!
I might be seing them soon also. Right now, though, I'm getting pumped for W/IFS and Subhumans later this month. |
The new Yeah Yeah Yeah's is (surprisingly) pretty decent. I didn't really like their dbut, but this is cool.
Oh, and new Ben Harper = his best studio album yet. |
I don't like Harper, nor do I understand why other people like him. Will this change my mind?
|
Dag Nasty - Can I Say
Minutemen - Buzz or Howl Under the Influence of Heat
I might be seing them soon also. Right now, though, I'm getting pumped for W/IFS and Subhumans later this month.
I'd love to see World Inferno, you lucky man you. I'm sure that'll be a fun show. |
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - s/t
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Orange The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion - Now I Got Worry Husker Du - New Day Rising Husker Du - Metal Circus
Looks good. I really like Now I Got Worry, my favorite song is probably "Chicken Dog" or "Love All Of Me." |
David Cross - Shut Up, you ****ing Baby!
This guy is funny, but makes me wonder why all comics are so cynical. |
I have a new addition to my list of the most awesome riffs ever:
RATM- Know Your Enemy Melvins- Copache Black Sabbath- Supernaut Iron Maiden- 2 Minutes to Midnight Mastodon- Blood and Thunder Iommi \m/ |
Sons and Daughters - The Repulsion Box
Just got this today. I really love these guys.
Since you like this, get some Red House Painters. Grab either Ocean Beach or Red House Painters I. Both groups are fronted by Mark Kozelek, and personally I prefer RHP - even though Sun Kil Moon is fantastic as well.
Yeah, I shall look further into both.
The new Yeah Yeah Yeah's is (surprisingly) pretty decent. I didn't really like their dbut, but this is cool. Oh, and new Ben Harper = his best studio album yet.
I'm looking forward to that Yeah Yeah Yeahs. "Gold Lion" is great. As far as Ben Harper goes, I hate that new song of his. |
X - Live In Los Angeles
I feel like I just got kicked in the face. In a good way. |
Pearl Jam, new album May 2nd!
|
Native Nod
Envy |
The Dismemberment Plan - Change
Black Mountain - Black Mountain A man was killed standing still in his doorway. 123 another pop explosion, 123 another hit recorded.. |
^^^
I love that part. It makes me nod my head and say "oh yeah" whenever I hear it. After having it for a year and listening to it this afternoon, I have decided that As The Roots Undo is my favourite album of all time. |

I've listened to some of it a few times and I find it merely "okay." I mean, I can get into DEP so I thought this band wouldn't be too difficult, but it's really not something I want to like as much as I did with Dillinger. |
i be diggin
PIA FRAUS. yihh. |
Bob Dylan - John Wesley Harding
|
Talking Heads - Remain In Light
Born Under Punches = orgasmatron. ..and the heat goes on. The bassline makes me want to kick ladybugs spontaneously in my seat. |
That's really my favourite Talking Heads song.

I've listened to it many times, but I can't just pop it on whenever I feel like it. Every time I listen to it, it takes me on a journey and I'll usually end up listening to it 2 or 3 times in a row. It's really best appreciated as a whole. It's both one of the most original and emotional albums out there. DFelon loves me. ;) |
Bob Dylan - The Times They Are A-Changin'
You can't go wrong with Dylan. Except for when you can on the very odd occasion. |
That's a good record, I scabbed it out of my parents' collection a couple of years ago.
|
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part
I think I've finally figured out what the while album is about! It's incredible. |
Diggin' some sweet hip-hop programmed by Hilltop Hoods on rage. So choice.
|
Armalite - Armalite
The debut album from the punk rock supergroup featuring members of Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, The Boils, Affirmative Action Jackson, Atom and his Package and Paint it Black. It's really good, the songs Atom sings are generally better (particularly the song I am a Pancreas) but it's a tight pop-punk album as a whole. Cleveland Bound Death Sentence - Self-titled Raw, catchy punk rock, the song 3rd Floor and Passed Out in Doorways is amazing. Dead Things - Because Sometimes You Just Want to Ride Your Bike to the Show More low-fi, catchy punk. The Orphans - Raise the Youth Erik Petersen's pre-Mischief Brew band. It's not as good as Mischief Brew but is solid original political punk rock. The songs Outwitted, Raise the Youth, and Big Brother, Bigger Mother are all great punk songs with the former bearing a ska tinge and you can really see Mischief Brew in the songs, What Reason Have They To Dance?, Anorexic Mind and For an Old Kentucky Anarchist which are probably the best on the album. |
joe, you're my favourite.
|
I love you too, however my love comes in the form of a restraining order and a sentry gun.
Bob Dylan - Twelve Curses The Times' outtakes. Generally depressing, but gloriously so. |
Any Bob is glorious.
