Panopticon 05-21-2008 09:25 PM

fair enough then.

Chippy569 05-21-2008 10:01 PM

huh, interesting. glad to hear you're all right, though.

something just get caught in the chimney and lit up?

fishbulb 05-21-2008 10:45 PM

Jesus i've been busy lately. Drove a buddy home from school to my house to record some stuff and he finally left at 6:00. Literally as he was walking out the door another friend called me and was like "Dude the band is coming over to start recording our album." and i was like "Uhh, alright." They left around 9:00 and yeah, like i said kinda busy.

I'm not used to not being on my computer all day but i'm glad that i'm shifting away from that lifestyle.

Hey chippy if you have some time i'd love to have you listen to the sound i'm getting from my drums.

http://davidzych.com/marc/MayMixMP3.mp3

Toms need some work for sure but other than that everything else is decent. And also The Chemist offered to "teach me how to mix drums" and i am very grateful for that offer but i haven't had time to take him up on it yet.

Win A Rabbit 05-21-2008 10:51 PM

yeah so i just listened to the band that the guy who's recording us just finished mixing and mastering and everything, and it sounds pretty brutal.

like, even with the one song of ours that he's "done" with (i'm going in to re-record my parts, but the version he gave us is what was the final version of it) sounds 10x better than theirs.

maybe they were going for that sound, or maybe us telling him what we were looking for gave him more direction or something, but when i heard theirs i was all "oshi ours better not come out like that when everything's completely done and pressed and everything"
A little late, but the one near my house is hiring. Should I try and get a job there?
I would say yes in the short term. Its easy to get hired, its pretty fun if you got good co-workers and decent managers, not as intense as other retailers. The pay is usually minimum but the difficulty of work is pretty easy. Plus they are very flexible with their hours. They will pretty much work around any schedule you have, though they may not be happy if you only can work weekends, for example.

After 6 months or so you'll start getting burned out. I've been there a year and a half and I should have gotten out of there back in February but I ****ed up a job opportunity that opened up so I'm still stuck here, and probably won't get anywhere else until the economy gets better.

Sunshine 05-22-2008 01:16 AM

So I went shopping with the boy today. Got 3 new tank tops [3 for $25 hellzyeah], but even more exciting, a new fucking bra.

You guys will never understand the pure excitement and joy that comes from a brand new bra.

Seafroggys 05-22-2008 01:27 AM

Oh trust us we get excited with a new bra. :D

Sunshine 05-22-2008 01:33 AM

But you don't understand what it's like to wear a brand new one for the first time.
You just don't understand.

Win A Rabbit 05-22-2008 01:36 AM

my lady friends don't let me and male friends go bra shopping with them any more because we embarrass them.

Sunshine 05-22-2008 01:40 AM

I think all of my male friends are too embarrassed to go with me, except one gay one from a few years ago.
Even my boyfriend hates going into Victoria's Secret.

I don't like bra shopping with people anyway.

Talos 05-22-2008 07:08 AM

Hey guys, I wanna download the new beta of Internet Explorer, but im running a free version of Vi$ta ;)
Is it safe to use and that?
Cus I know when most Micro$oft programs are installed they check to see if you have a genuine copy of Windows or whatever. And I dont really wanna get caught out, im trying to see which one looks the best.
I have the Firefox 3 Beta and I must be honest, it seems amazing. Like really.
Everything is so much better on it, but im interested to see this new version of IE.

What dya reckon?

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-22-2008 07:26 AM

Should be. They keep running even if windows finds out its a dodgy copy. Mine did

Fuzzy 05-22-2008 07:35 AM

The Eagles = Epic Win last night. So, SO good.

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-22-2008 07:36 AM

I cleaned my room and now I feel hella dirty.

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-22-2008 11:01 AM

Then shower

Janeway 05-22-2008 11:02 AM

I'm going to.

That orange Sierra Mist crap is gross.

And sierra is Spanish for saw...as in cutting saw. I don't get wtf people name their kids sierra for.

oliv_da_skinmasher 05-22-2008 11:05 AM

Same reason people name them after cities and fruit. They're morons

stevensonmat2 05-22-2008 11:07 AM

i would like to named saw.

Saw Stevenson

BummerJonny 05-22-2008 11:33 AM

it also means mountain range...

Janeway 05-22-2008 11:38 AM

Because mountain ranges look like the serrated edges of a saw...
