jameshetfield@metallica.com didn't work either.
Deth 03-29-2005 08:47 AM

sorry, that was my setlist for the show I went to. My mistake.

Jev 03-29-2005 08:47 AM
Twice

The first time was one of the best gigs i've ever seen, i remember vividly Its A Long Way To The Top(if you wanna rock 'n roll) fading out the PA, suddenly everything went black and Ecstacy Of Gold launched into the intro to Battery. I done my kneck in headbanging that night :p
I was there too, me and my mate nearly broke our necks headbanging.
It was the best gig i ever went to.

MaKaTo 03-29-2005 08:49 AM

Hey, did you guys ever like St. Anger btw? I never didn't think it was great though.

DisposableHeroes 03-29-2005 08:51 AM

I thought St.Anger had a few decent tracks, but even those werent exactly amazing

Khaos 03-29-2005 08:54 AM

Metallica is awesome live, after my first Metallica concert I didn't hear right for a week

metalcritter666 03-29-2005 08:54 AM
Hey, did you guys ever like St. Anger btw? I never didn't think it was great though.
I used to like it a lot more than i do now, until I listened to other albums.

Deth 03-29-2005 08:55 AM

I don't hate it and I don't listen to it often. It sits there while greater albums are played.

btoto 03-29-2005 09:26 AM

I like 4-5 songs from it. But only Dirty Window is the favourite song of St.Anger.

Best songs off each album IMO:
Kill em all: Seek and Destroy, Whiplash, No Remorse, The Four Horsemen
Ride The Lightning: Creeping Death, The Call Of Ktulu, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Trapped Under Ice

cippo 03-29-2005 12:53 PM

I think st.anger has some good songs, like "some kind of monster" and "st.anger". But the thing with the guys in metallica for the last album is that they dont care if it doesent sound like the old metallica, i think thats good in a sort of way..anyway i think Ride the lightning is the best album! ~RoCk

Rattlehead 03-29-2005 01:06 PM

bit harsh, m. guitar.

st. anger is alright but the thing i hate about it is the fact that there are no solos what so ever, meaning that people who havn't listened to metallica before hear music that doesn't really express kirk's full potential and extent of skill. this means that these people have no motivation or reason to want to listen to metallica's old stuff. next aldbum should have some solos though... i hope :thumb:
