how much do you guys think that the live $hit dvd would be?
Someone managed to nab it for $27, can you believe that?!
i think james does the solo in the unforgiven.he also has a solo in one, orion, and as mentioned before, nothing else matters.
Unforgiven - Nope, that was Kirk. The rest of the band hated it when they first heard it actually.

One - Wrote the solos, maybe, but Kirk performs them live.

Orion - Yup, he wrote the whole song. The second solo is pure genius.

I was watching the SKOM bonus DVD today, and there's a clip in there about Jason whining about them not telling him they were going to play at the Raider's parking lot. The band, with Bob and Phil, theorized that Jason only left the band to hurt them, not because he actually wanted to leave. One of the roadcrew guys had a tape of a call that Jason made that he whined about the Raiders "gig", and he called the band homos and said that it was bull****.

What do you all think?

JACKROXYOU 02-15-2005 06:51 PM

jason whined alot for a chance of being bass for metallica

Unforgiven was all Kirk. Maybe the softer solo was james, but the main one was Kirk.

One couldn't've been James. Kirk is the major tapper and stuff. I 99% doubt it was all James. He did the solo after the chorus. I really doubt he did the intro solo or the main solo.

Orion was really all James?

When they played Part of orion at the show i went to this past september Hammet played Orion with Rob.

They never play the instrumentals. I really like Orion too. I'd really like to hear even most of it, if not all of it. It's not like they're crowd killers. Most Metallica fans love the instrumentals.

my name is metal_milita  because militia was already taken

anyways, it kills me a bit inside when people reply back to that blink182 guy and argue with him. you can tell a lot about a poster form his first post, once a 10yr old, always a 10 yr old.

and no one likes 10 yr olds (exept mothers)

Nate22 02-15-2005 09:21 PM

I downloaded a song called Hunger, and it says that it's by Megadeth and Metallica. I know that they never made a song together so I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the song. Possibly when Mustaine was still with Metallica but I don't know.

Huber 02-15-2005 09:27 PM

I got that song too. I dunno if it is them or not, but I like the song :)

Mind Revolution 02-15-2005 09:41 PM

123. Cliff 'em All is a good DVD.

vashts80 02-15-2005 11:51 PM

As far as actual ability goes, Rob > Cliff > Jason
Stage prescence: Jason > Cliff > Rob
Vocals: Uhh...Jason by far (did Cliff ever do vocals? I've never seen him do them, so I dunno how good he could sing)

From what I understand, Jason's plan was to break the band down by him leaving, but after the counsoler came in, he was pissed off because the band was going all fine and dandy. Putting that aside, Newsted is probably my favorite Metal bassist (besides 'Arry and Rob/Cliff) and my favorite Metal vocalist besides Araya and Mustaine

CreepingDeath~ 02-15-2005 11:59 PM

Cliff>Rob>Jason In Bass
Jason>Rob>Cliff In Vocals

(I have never heard Rob doing vocals, but he would beat cliff because I don't think Cliff did vocals)

Cliff did vocals, I think?
Also, Cliff had an amazing stage presence. Sure when Cliff was around it wasn't quite the same presence as Newstead was aiming for, in my opinion, but Cliff could definately get a crowd going, all he had to do was play 2 notes on his bass, and the audience would go off, they (Metallica w/ Cliff) also had different size audience/s to what they had with Newstead.

Its not by either, its by a band called Eternal Decision.
Good song though

I was wondering that myself... I did seem to think that the vocals could possibly be Jaymez Hetfield though but i was unsure... Thanks man :) :naughty:

i don't believe that Jason loved Metallica, why would he want to destroy it?

Im sure Cliff did vocals cos Jason did backing on songs from lightning/puppets. therefore cliff must've sung.

What about Buried Alive (I think that's what it's called?) I heard that was 'Deth and 'Tallica. But you know, my sources aren't exactly, up to date.
