I don't even think I'm gonna vote when I'm 18.
I'll probably give up after waiting in line a while.

Hillary/Obama '08!

shane italian 04-28-2005 05:25 PM

Hahaha, I don't give a s'hit who's in office...I really doubt my lifestyle will change eitherway.

dislocated214 04-28-2005 05:25 PM

Castro/Gorbachev '08!

dislocated214 04-28-2005 05:26 PM

I just presented a whole lesson to my class (8th grade) on real Communism...and not that North Korean bullshit.

If it wasn't for the politics forum or the History Channel, I wouldn't even know what communism was. Hurrah for public school systems!

Speaking of that, I can't wear my Misery Signals shirt in school anymore because the Ferret Records logo on the back has a picture of a revolver on it. A teacher was apparently offended, so now I have to get a new shirt. Lame.

I'm still under the illusion that my opinion actually matters. It will go away with age, I'm sure.

shane italian 04-28-2005 05:33 PM

Like, I'm not scared that some bro is gonna barge in and f'uck up our government. As "scared" as people were when Bush came into office, we're still a country and everyone is still living their lives as they usually would.

The only reason people get huffy with voting is because of taxes and all that jazz...but either way you'll be losing money some how.

If it was American media than it was probably wrong.

And the Soviet Union wasn't Communist...

Communism REALLY stands for no government (no state/no classes)...Socialism has a government that the working class uses to opress the upper class...Capitalism has a government where hte upper class opresses the working class

As if it's the popular vote that matters and not the Electoral college.

And plus it's a matter of how much money you're losing, and what your lost money is being spent on.

shane italian 04-28-2005 05:41 PM

That's the thing though, you're always losing the same steady amount of money in one way or the other...and the money isn't going to spent on anything you would like to see it spent on...ever.

Even if it is a waste of time, I might as well.

Vote for Nadar just for ****s and giggles or something.

Understanding In a Crash 04-28-2005 06:06 PM

I just got a Victory Record "Heavy Metal" premo CD.

1. Atreyu - Lip Gloss & Black
I was never anything for Atreyu and they seem to be on every sampler CD I've ever gotten for some reason.
2. BTBAM - Mordecai
Great song, but I've heard it before I got the sampler so it wasn't anything new.
3. Premonitions of War - Mother Night Revisited
Short song, I don't really know much about this band but the song was pretty deadly on the drums.
4. All Out War - From the bottom
Buildup on the intro was amazing from the ending of "Mother Night Revisited". I think this may have been one of my favorite songs on the sampler. It seemed always moving foward and going up tempo with no release.
5. Scars of Tomorrow - Abandonment
Another favorite song on the sampler. I haven't really heard much of Scars of Tomorrow but I'm definitely thinking about buying a CD of theres after hearing this song.
6. Martyr AD - American Hollow
Intro guitar riff blew my head. I regret not having their CD yet.
7. Silverstein - When broken is easily fixed
Generic, poppy, but catchy.
8. Darkest Hour - Oklahoma
I don't like this song much by them.
9. Dead to Fall - Eternal Gates of Hell
Good band, respectable guys, heard this song before.
10. Freya - As the last light drains
I was surprised at how much I liked this song. It was different.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 04-28-2005 06:18 PM

That is a very bad sampler.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-28-2005 06:25 PM

Let's Chop Cats! 04-28-2005 06:31 PM

Revelation Records is excited to announce the release of "Generations: A Hardcore Compilation" LP/CD. It will feature exclusive tracks by the following bands. We are expecting this to be out (officially) August 2nd.

Go It Alone
Lights Out
Mind Eraser
Cold World
Keep It Up
Internal Affairs
LOJ
****ed Up
Down To Nothing
Robot Whales
Blacklisted
Iron Boots
Snake Eyes
Mental
Sinking Ships
Righteous Jams

All the songs are done and we are wrapping up the final touches on the layout, but we are looking for more flyers and photos for all of the bands.

CONNER_NWHC 04-28-2005 06:32 PM

CONNER_NWHC 04-28-2005 06:36 PM

That's why GIA was asking for photo's and flyers.

Let's Chop Cats! 04-28-2005 06:46 PM

Old by like a week. Besides only like 3 people here have heard of it.

I'd like to live in a Communist society. Classless...stateless.

The rich shouldn't have more access to education/health care.
No Inside Out?
Did you happen to notice that it is a compilation of new/up and coming HC bands?
