How the hell was master of puppets overdone it is 'the' best metal album of all time. Its just brilliance from start to finish
look at it this way, master of puppets is to metallica as smells like teen spirit is to nirvana(one of my favorite bands) or like iron man to black sabbath |

I'd say it was Enter Sandman... |
Metallica is overrated. They were ok in the black album but now they been reduced to S***. And by the way Master Of Puppets has been overdone, really overdone.
You're an idiot. |
I'd say it was Enter Sandman...
yeah you're probably right |
Mister_Che
So would I |
You're an idiot.
Wow, I'm offended  I'm saying this in a VERY sarcastic way |
So would I
Trouble with quoting there? Just click reply under the post. |
Big idiot. Kirk and James played the smoothest solo when the soft part of the song comes up. Just another reason that the song is the best.
|

I'm saying this in a VERY sarcastic way
Think about it like this. Youre going into a Metallica thread populated by Metallica fans. Your first post (if I'm not mistaken) was irrelevant to the topic (there probably wasn't much of a topic anyway) and was labeling Metallica as overrated. Just imagine what would happen. |

I think they are the best guitar duo, by far. They write the greatest duo lines and really amazing things. Their solos together are technically perfect and also really cool |

I agree. They are in such harmony with one another its uncanny, The only other guitar duo i feel is like that is Jon Donias and Matt Bachand |

I agree. Kirk Hammett is the king of guitar, but when he and James play together, I am just amazed. |
I think James is underrated as a guitar player

Yeh i mean kirk is the master of solos while james can thrash a guitar to pieces with his riffs |

Does James ever do any solos without Kirk? |

Nothing Else Matters is one song. He wrote the whole thing. |
Woah...we have supreme fanboyism here.
|

I don't see why a lot of Metallica fans hated that song. Yeah it wasn't their usual thrash sound, but then again, the entire Black Album didn't have that sound. |

It's "mainstream" and all mainstream sucks. |

Me either. I like the intro, and awesome sustain at the end of the guitar solo. |

Chorus Pedal. I think... |

Its a good song i think. The guitars are still set to stun that wins it for me. They could have cut the synthesizers though. |

What synthesizers? |
What synthesizers?
the synthesizers in the chorus |
the synthesizers in the chorus
Synthesizing an orchestra? That was Micheal Kamen and the San Francisco Symphony. |
What synthesizers?
Bob Rock plays them on the 'a year and a half part 1' video. I think its part 1 |
Does James ever do any solos without Kirk?
