I can't believe I miseed the best bit of Jurassic Park :(
Which Jurassic Park, and which bit, are you referring to?

munky_magik 01-22-2005 01:29 PM
Which Jurassic Park, and which bit, are you referring to?
The original, and the classic bit where they're just arriving at the island and flying through the valleys in the helicoptor's and John Williams is in the background.
Tomorrow I have my third "band practice." So far, this whole band thing has been a joke. It's getting very discouraging. Any tips for a beginner band?
If you're just starting out, make sure you set your band targets to acomplish or else you'll jsut spend your time aimlessly messing about.

Oh. How'd you miss that?
Oh. How'd you miss that?
/sarcasm??

I only found out the film was on half way through it.

Bartender 01-22-2005 01:40 PM

The film's on now!?

:(.

I was so confused. I think I'll just go watch Jurassic Park 3 on DVD. Calm my nerves.

munky_magik 01-22-2005 01:47 PM

It's finished now. It was on ITV.
And by calm your nerves, do you mean laugh hysetrically?

Bartender 01-22-2005 01:49 PM

If you like. I quite like the third one, though I'm not sure why at all. It's not a really good film, but I just find I can watch it over and over, for some reason. It's better than Jurassic Park 2.

Permanent Solution 01-22-2005 01:52 PM

I preferred 2 to 3 I think...but sequels rarely stand up to their predecessors.

munky_magik 01-22-2005 01:52 PM

The original was the best. The 3rd was comical I found, what with a ringing T-Rex(I think) and little whipper snapper dinosaurs that kill people in rivers. At least I think they did, I can't really remember. How the little guy survives by himself always amazed me as well.

Bartender 01-22-2005 01:53 PM

Perefer 2 to 3, something something
Yeah, the first still reigns. I do wonder what 4 will be like, though.

munky_magik 01-22-2005 01:54 PM

There's gonna be another one? I imagine it'll be overly CGI'd

Distant Echoes 01-22-2005 01:54 PM

I always like the first movies better then if they have sequals...the story is always a fresh new idea, and the next ones are the same thing, but different storylines/problems in the story.

and how do u get you usertitle to be longer then the designated amount of charicters? Its driving me insane

Yeah, the little kid surviving was weird, but if you can't suspend disbelief, how much are you going to enjoy any films?

For the sake of nitpicking though, that wasn't a T-Rex that was ringing, and there were no little people-eating dinosaurs in the river that I can recall.

Permanent Solution 01-22-2005 01:57 PM

The little people eating dinosaurs were in #2 I believe.

Apparently there is, yes. Spielberg will have no hand in it though. But then, he didn't have anything to do with the third one, either.

A script, hosted on various computer-literate MX-related people's sites. I don't know which, and I don't care to know.

Just fair warning; if anyone gives him (Distant Echoes) the link on the forums, I'll have to ban them.

Silenius 01-22-2005 01:59 PM

I hated Jurrasic Park three.

My memory of 2 and 3 has sort of merged.

That's fair enough, it's not exactly cinematic brilliance, but like I say, I can just watch it easily. Plus I liked Tea Leoni and William H Macy in it, and Sam Neill is always awesome as Alan Grant.

EDIT: Hey, it had Michael Jeter and Alessandro Nivola, too, though in not-really-amazing roles. I really like that cast, heh.

It was just too much like the other two, there was really no point to making it.

i haven't seen it. the first was good, i saw most of the second

:upset:
well, that makes sense. I think my combined movie would be alot better.

*imagines little remote dinosaurs*

LordDargon 01-22-2005 02:26 PM

I loved the original. I watched it like every week when I was a kid. When I used to watch it in my grandfathers basement, I was always afraid of there being velociraptors down there, because it looked like the kitchen the kids are in... ah never mind.

So I see our "friend" Eleventeen was in here bragging about his fighting skills.

munky_magik 01-22-2005 02:34 PM

I thought the best parts were when he said he tries to come across as over opionated to see how people would react, and that he doesn't talk shite in real life.

Dancin' Man 01-22-2005 02:49 PM

He's an idiot.

And on that note, we cue the music.

NP: The Scorpions - Wild Child

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Pfft, I don't know whether I even believe him or not. I know I would get in large heaps of sh.it if I tried that in my english class.

At least he wasn't ranting about how everyone should like nu - metal, and how he thinks its god's gift to music.
