and justin builds it all up at the same time. . .its orgasmic, probably the only tool song ive listned to more times than the patient
Mediocre is Jimmy, Hooker, and those songs that dont really do anything different, or have any memorable moment. There are some, but naming them is just asking for people to disprove me
/puts up shield.
I think those songs have memorable moments, I guess I just haven't heard one in H yet. |
I think H. has a cool solo. That hammering section is sweet.
Oh, and Hooker has probably the grooviest bassline of all Tool songs. Not the best, but that song just has this awesome "Fuck off, bitch" feeling to it, and that's why I like it. :-D |
H also has some of my favorite Tool lyrics. The whole build up to the "I DON'T MIND" section is amazing, followed by a great instrumental breakdown.

ye. Ceratinly one of the most emotional lyrics by maynard Everyones loving on H. :) |
Hi fellow Toologists!
Man, what have I missed? And at random note, I truly think Reflection from the Lateralus album is one of the top for TOOL. Give or take it doesn't show everything the band can do, but there's a good reason behind it all. My first TOOL album was Lateralus and the first song that really hit me was Reflections. It came at a bad time in my life and it helped. On top of the fact of having a freakin' awesome tribe beat to it. Ah, and Pu**** just struck me whenever I first heard it. Lyrics are so powerful. What's this about Joe's Sausage? lol ~daniel |
I don't understand why Jimmy gets such a bashing here. I love the whole mood of the song, and when the drums and bass crash in with the intro guitar riff, it really does it for me. The whole song just builds up to be huge, and the lyrics are great.
|
I think jimmy tries to copy h. Hard intro then goes soft, some of the parts on the song annoy me, dunno why.
|
I'm going to be cracking up about this for the next 20 minutes or so:

yessim they are, but with out that bassline they wouldnt mean a thing. |
I love Jimmy. In fact, I think it's my second favorite Aenima song, right behind Thrid Eye.
Heck ya Jimmy pwns...some incredable drum riffs in that song...the intro, the verse, chorus..well **** song the whole is awesome!!! |

The bass is probably my least favorite nuance of Jimmy. The break between the guitar intro and when the bass and drums come in is a huge let down. You're expecting this huge burst of noise, but it's this dissonant "bloink." :-/
L Ron fought against the armies of Sauron, under the shadow of Mount Dianetics. He thought this would be the last he heard of the Lord of the Dance, but it was not to be so. A Young Hobbit, Frodo, came to L Ron with Sauron's rainbow colored ring. Reluctantly, L Ron helps Frodo become the new "Lord of the Dance" by whisking him away to a computer generated simulation of the late 20th century. L Ron(calling himself "Smith"), fights Keanu Reeves, and returns with Frodo to Riverdance, and tells Frodo he must find Mt. Dianetics, and cast the ring in. He is perhaps most famous for the speech he gives Frodo: "It is purpose that drives us. It is purpose that rules us all. It is purpose that finds us. It is purpose that brings us all, and in the darkness binds us." L Ron then married Old Mother Hubbard, and the two co-authored a book, 'Dianetics', a scientific work about L Ron's studies of Mt. Dianetics. Old Mother Hubbard released another book of the same title about an aerobics program based around L Ron's physical exhertions in his studies of the volcano. L Ron also had a daughter named AirWick, who went on to help Ben Affleck save Middle-Earth from a giant asteroid.
wtf@that My favorite part is the name of his daughter. |
That place is awesome, it's Wikipedia but you can change the definitions and they wont get editted by the staff like at the real Wikipedia.
Edit: I editted in a section about him. |
