Hey Joe,

Where can I hear those AAF sampler songs, and why is there a new guitarist? Why did the other one leave?

Arucard 06-18-2005 08:12 PM

You can only hear one minute samples, but here :

'What I Feel Is Mine' has great guitar work in the chorus.

And the other guitarist left 'cause he was pissed off.

:amaze: You ain't never listened to Floyd before? Not even their most regularly-played song on the radio (possibly)?

Arucard 06-18-2005 08:19 PM

I dont listen to the radio, and i dont really listen to Classic Rock bar Rainbow.

Jom 06-18-2005 08:24 PM
And the other guitarist left 'cause he was pissed off.
To be honest, I was hoping you wouldn't be so vague :-\

Arucard 06-18-2005 08:28 PM

Well, from what i know, they had some musical differences, and the rest of AAF were better at their instruments than him. The bassist, as you know, is great, and the drummer is untouchable in the mainstream rock league, so they ended up asking him to leave because they wanted to change musical direction and be slightly more experimental.

Jom 06-18-2005 08:29 PM

Ah, much better. Thank you :)

Yes, Tye is great on bass. Everyone bitches about them, but they only seem fixated on the second single from ANThology, and not from the rest of their material.

Fuckin' slowass connection. I can't hear the songs :(

Arucard 06-18-2005 08:35 PM

Bah, they are really good. I thought they would die after no-one really bought truANT, but they are back better than ever.

truANT is freaking awesome.

Jom 06-18-2005 08:39 PM

"Glow" is one of the best feel-good songs. Just the rhythm, the maracas, the acoustic guitar, heh heh... it's just a fun song, and they seem like they have fun playing music, which should matter.

"I don't like Alien Ant Farm."

"Alright, that's fine. What have you heard besides Smooth Criminal?"

"Uh, that one about movies."

"Okay. What else?"

"/rabble rabble rabble about how Smooth Criminal sucked and wasn't a momentous cover"

"Oh, I see. Well, enjoy your music, and shut up about the kind you don't like."

Arucard 06-18-2005 08:43 PM

I know that, i got into a massive argument in a thread where all these people could say was 'Smooth Criminal' sucked. I personally thought it was genius.

Do you want EoE? I've been posting messages after you everywhere today :\

I'm leaving for Florida tommorow morning, I won't be on for a week after that...

clown_phobia 06-18-2005 09:02 PM

I heard a song on the radio, I was wondering if anyone can help me identify it. It is a rock sorta song, sounds a bit like the kinks. It goes "Girl, you've lost that loving feeling".

Thanks.

Arucard 06-18-2005 09:02 PM

Im buying the DVD on Monday, i figured i owed the Manga industry something. Thanks alot for the first half though man.

Good work :thumb:

In my humble opinion that is the best song ever recorded. :)

Dancin' Man 06-18-2005 09:54 PM

Note to Jom - I just heard Summer by Alien Ant Farm via FL, it was good. The bass player does the trick quite well.

So, sad news in the life of Peter. Tomorrow my best friend in the entire world is leaving for NYC. She'll be there all summer and since she's done with high school she's staying there. This is the one thing I've been truly upset about in years. I haven't cried for years except about this. I hate the thought that she won't be coming back. This is my most emo moment ever. I'll visit her from time to time but I can't imagine what it will be like without her. She's usually gone for the whole summer every summer but she always comes back. Oh wow.

That sucks. I wish I could add anything else, but I can't. I feel for you.

OK, fine, I understand. I suck and I'm stupid and you love to put words in my mouth.

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-18-2005 10:00 PM

That sucks bad, Pedro. I've had a few friends leave, but they usually come back. :upset: There's always more friends though. That's the good thing about life. :)

Would it make you feel better if you uploaded some Isis?

Riva 06-18-2005 10:02 PM

Ring her every week, to ensure you don't drift apart. It'll be alright. Just listen to Trollhammaren to cheer you up. :)

So, I'm doing my best to make this MNM the best one yet.

Also, I had a great time last night. My girlfriend, my two best friends and myself all drove around town and the countryside, blasting classic rock and metal whilst they drank and I drove. It was pure fun, but it is bittersweet since at the end of the year, both of them (my best friends) are moving away, she to Brisbane and he to Melbourne.

i am the robots 06-18-2005 10:12 PM

That's sad to hear Riva.

:-\

That's rough, man. There really isn't much I can say to make things better, obviously. I'd probably act the same way you are. Plus, maybe she'll come visit you as well?

EDIT:

Man, raw deal for you as well :-\

I think that's how it's going to have to be. I think I'll write letters too.

Also, tonight was bittersweet for me too Riva. It was me and a bunch of friends making a mess and being loud and obnoxious at Friendly's for almost 3 hours but it was a goodbye party sort of thing for my friend.

Heh, it makes me remember the time she told me her boyfriend was cheating on her and I asked her if she was sure and asked her what I could do and how disgusted I was in him. Then finally she broke it to me that I had been set up and she wanted me to ask with who so she could say his hand. It was a great moment for us. Just the fact that I didn't care who he was cheating with but the fact that he was cheating at all. Happy 6k Riva.

Yeah, finally someone noticed. :p

Dr. Jake Destructo 06-18-2005 10:27 PM

It was a joke!!

God, I swear noone gets my jokes.

I wish mods could just give me a signature, and it would just be :p so I wouldnt' have to put it after every single thing I say.

I actually also had a similair happen. It happened about 10 or so years ago. I had a friend (a girl as well) and we were the greatest of friends. Her mom was my baby sitter, and so during the summer, I would hang out with her at least 5 out of the 7 days in the week. Then, when school came around, I never really saw her again. It was wierd.

i am the robots 06-18-2005 10:30 PM

that's sad.
