Adam Jones is GOD 07-20-2005 10:32 AM

I just linked the Italian to Harry Manback. Apart from that, i've got nowt. Apart from that its Blair toying, which is odd for him.........

Oh wait, he's very good at that.

And yes, counted your votes, done all the complete lists, even those without Salival votes. Its interesting to sy he least so far. (poor JoZ is a clue :p )

Blizzink 07-20-2005 10:41 AM
Hmm JoZ's favourtie song...i thought he loved push!t with me... :-/
Do you not recall the 'Oh em effin gee! Live Third Eye ownzors the Live Push!t' convos back in the day?

clearvision 07-20-2005 11:31 AM
Do you not recall the 'Oh em effin gee! Live Third Eye ownzors the Live Push!t' convos back in the day?
Now that you mention it..I think i do, but he couldn't have won that argument, the live third eye is pretty much the same as the studio...and the push!t is different and yeh...

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-20-2005 11:57 AM
I don't care what you say the outro for Jerk-Off is the highlight of the album.

I mean come on.....

SHOOT YOU IN YOUR FUCKING HEAD!!!!
I read on the tdn FAQ that he changed 'why don't i play got and shoot you my self' to 'fuck you my self' due to the gun violence involved or something. :-/

I wonder if he says fuck you in your fuckin head instead. :p

Oh, and for the record- Pushit live> Third Eye Live

Futuro 07-20-2005 12:09 PM

it seems im the only person that likes H........oh well :upset:
tomorrow I will attempt to find out some more details about these sausages of Joe’s.
sounds good
This was an Italian sausage as some of you guessed, served with an Insalata Caprese appetizer. King Buzzo liked 'em, too, as some of you knew.
sounds good...... there was not really anything to understand about his last update, besides he found out more details about joe's sausage...........DAMMIT why do i have to be the one that says "joes sausage" in my post

Definetly.

:
H. pwns my friend.

Huber 07-20-2005 12:15 PM

H is a good song, but to me mediocre for a Tool song.

Futuro 07-20-2005 12:16 PM

holy chit!!!! blairs last update signifies King Buzzo was there......maybe they will take some influences off the melvins for this next record, and make a new genre "CREEPY METAL"

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-20-2005 12:16 PM

I started learning H. yesterday, but then I started writing my own song, but it turns out instead of writing something of my own, I was learning Cold and Ugly. :upset:

creativity minus minus

Mr Herb 07-20-2005 12:16 PM

How come? I think the bass work is pretty good and the drums are just near orgasmic in the part were it slows downs and its all just electronic **** and then the crescendo is great.

reffering to H

Huber 07-20-2005 12:17 PM
holy chit!!!! blairs last update signifies King Buzzo was there......maybe they will take some influences off the melvins for this next record, and make a new genre "CREEPY METAL"
I was thinking he'd have a guest appearance on the album.

Or he just likes to eat sausage with Tool.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-20-2005 12:20 PM

Or maybe Maynard's coming out of the closet, and King Buzzo is his life partner, hence the whole eating sausage deal.

It wouldn't be impossible I guess, after all Maynard has worked with the Melvins so maybe it's time they return the favour?

EDIT: Somewhat beaten there...

Futuro 07-20-2005 12:22 PM

Or he just likes to eat sausage with Tool.
well he is a fat as
s
, im the first to throw out (for various reasons i have learned) this album is being recorded in canada.
H is a good song, but to me mediocre for a Tool song.
I"ll have to disagree...from how soft and chill the verses are to the build up to the chorus and the breakdown...let alone the depth and emotion in the lyrics...man thats TooL at thier best.

Futuro 07-20-2005 12:27 PM
I"ll have to disagree...from how soft and chill the verses are to the build up to the chorus and the breakdown...let alone the depth and emotion in the lyrics...man thats TooL at thier best.
thats what i think too, its definetly my favorite song :)

Adam Jones is GOD 07-20-2005 12:27 PM

Mediocre is Jimmy, Hooker, and those songs that dont really do anything different, or have any memorable moment. There are some, but naming them is just asking for people to disprove me

/puts up shield.

Mr Herb 07-20-2005 12:32 PM
I"ll have to disagree...from how soft and chill the verses are to the build up to the chorus and the breakdown...let alone the depth and emotion in the lyrics...man thats TooL at thier best.
Indeed. Its the best of aenima along with aenema and thrid eye

Ye jimmy sucks but Hooker is slightly better, it has a purpose really while jimmy is just wankery to me

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-20-2005 12:34 PM

I think that of all of Tool's songs from Ænima and Lateralus, Jimmy is my least favorite. I'd rather listen to Intermission.

Mr Herb 07-20-2005 12:35 PM

intermission>>>>>jimmy

Kage 07-20-2005 12:36 PM

I love Jimmy. In fact, I think it's my second favorite Aenima song, right behind Thrid Eye.

Sleeper 07-20-2005 12:37 PM

Jimmy is my favorite lyrical song by Tool.

clearvision 07-20-2005 12:37 PM

H. = bad memories...

But it's a good song, there is a great bit at the end

'well i am too connected to you, slip away fade away'

basically it's the chorus but maynard kinda goes up when he says fade away and it creates some quality tension...

Also the bit before the solo when you hear the echoey 'well i don't mind'

I also think this is one of the best examples of the band supporting maynard, the way the drums emphasise certain words and adams work just keeps the song moving...
