After listening to metalcore for awhile, I eventually got bored of alot of the typical stuff and ended up getting into Converge, Botch and Coalesce. Not that I'm being all elitist or anything, just saying my taste changes a bit over time and yours may too.

Mine is exactly the opposite lol. I used to be heavy into Converge, not so much Botch, but I really liked Jane Doe, and still do like [I]some[/I] songs. I just don't like how they mesh as a whole.

Yeah I tend to be really late when it comes to the more unique bands and genre's of music. I'm just now starting to enjoy Post Metal and Doom and stuff like that and I've been obsessed with music for years.

I don't really see what people have against Unearth and The Human Abstract other than just "they suck"...?

I love them both. Some might say Unearth is kinda generic, but I see their style as a little unique. THA are the shiznit.

I like catchy music though, so that may be why I enjoy them more than most.

Both those bands are pretty cool. I'm more into THA, but I like Unearth too.

Not that I disagree with him. I've never heard THA, nor desire to, and Unearth just writes lame music. They're all decent instrumentalists, but it's boring.
