Heh, good to see the Titans of Thrash is still chugging along! Im not sure if any of you remember me, but I posted like a maniac for the first few 10's of pages. Good to see some oldies still here too: ThrashMaster27, RCA, Dimebag, FatalEnergy, RM87, ... whats goin on? Still stompping on the posers, keeping the newbies in line and generally banging your heads?... Silly questions as i know the answers to them are Hell ****ing Yes! ? ;)
TM27.. still living in Melbourne? Heading To Motley Crue and Motorhead next week? Did you see Dismember, toxic holocaust, Children Of Bodom, Anthrax or Megadeth in the past 6 months? NP: Hexenhaus - As Darkness Falls
Return of the Vampire! I'm still in Melbourne, yeah. No I'm not going to Motley Crue/Motorhead next week, cause I ain't paying $1,000,000 for a ticket. Rumour has it that Motorhead ain't gonna turn up anyway. I did see Dismember and Megadeth, both were good. I missed the Anthrax reunion, which I was pretty pissed off about, but you can't have it all. What's happening in your life? |
JMet has returned?
:chug: to the return of a good ol' thrasher  |

Trying to save up some cash so i can go over to Europe in their summer to goto all the Festivals and whatnot. I quit Uni because i was failing, and it seemed like paying for F's wasnt going to further my formal schooling. Yeah, Dismember and Anthrax were both awesome, and to a slightly lesser extent, Megadeth. I got to go back stage at Dismember, so that was a bonus. Im heading to Motley Crue, though. $130 a ticket... for B reserve! It's a butt load, but i hope it's worth it. (It won't be if motorhead pull out, obviously). I heard that there were rumors that Priest are coming out sometime next year and that blind guardian are definitely coming out in november. Should be good if both of those come through. How about yourself dude? |

Going to the festivals in europe is also on my agenda, but not for a while though. I'm suprised you quit uni though. I'm taking a course in Digital Video and Television Production in March, so we shall see what happens there. Expensive as hell though 10 g's for a 2 semester course. Priest and Blind Guardian would be amazing to see over here, although I'm not the greatest fan of the latter, but you get what you're given here. The Motley tickets are amazingly high priced. Plus you basically know 99% of their setlist before they come on stage, you won't get any suprises. Good to see you're still alive and well though. NP: King Diamond - The Wedding Dream |
Good to see you back Jmet!:thumb:
wish i could go to Wacken :( NP: Napalm Death - Riot of Violence |
Do any of you fine chaps have any of these fine thrash cd's you could send me? I cant buy any of them since they be hard to find and i have **** for money. My AIM is oldbobscoo.

You should download slsk.
You'd be able to find nearly all of those on there fairly easily. |
What is SLSK?
|
It's a downloading program, just about everone in here uses it. There's a Thrash metal room that slsk has and you can find pretty much any thrash you want.
NP: Kreator - Hidden Dictator |
Were do you get this so called SLSK? Also does it work on macs?
|
Oh, you have a mac. So do I.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=70140 You can download it there. It's a little wierd to get used to at first. What you need to know is that you hold ctrl to right click and get an options menu. I couldn't figure it out at first. |
Additionally Intruder's 'A Higher Form of Killing' is available from their official site as a free download.
http://www.intruder.biz Oh yeah, I also recently listened to Gang Green. The only thing they have in common with Tankard is the beer lyrics. They're more like old school punk. |
OldBobScoo... my Soulseek username is 'ManicThrasher'. Add me to your userlist (connect to Soulseek, right click in the user list and click 'add user') as i have pretty much all those albums you were after, all i'm lacking is the Torment.
Freezingmoon: what's your nick again, as i lost my list *again* the other day. NP: Seventh Angel - The Torment |
Is their any way we could trade over AIM. My mac says i have to have a password to dowload software and my parents nor i know it. I will trade or do any thing for them.
|
anyone here learning any Thrash songs on an instrument?
Im learning The New Priesthood by Dark Angel and the solo on Slayer's Angel of Death. |

Hello JMet! |
Page 4? Come on guys. You're clearly not...uh... thrashing as much as you should be!!!
Less than a week, and it's Razor time.(Plus all the other awesome bands.) Been listening to a lot of DBC, Aggression and Municipal Waste these days... Yup... that's about it. Now everyone else... say something!(And if you one of you actually says "something" you're getting a cyber fist in the face!!) |
Massacre has some great riffs but godamn those solos. Something.

Massacre is a great band. Been listening to lots of Death/Thrash lately. Don't have much to add. NP: Dark Angel - Darkness Descends |
Ey Apocalyptic Raids, how you doin?
Went to Motorhead and Motly Crue on Saturday night. Motorhead were freakin Heavy live and Lemmy may as well have been 30 years old again. Their new songs went off too, all of their songs were soo much better live. Crue were awesome too; AWESOME live show. There was soo much energy despite it being a seated show. Yeah, well worth the 130$. Razor!? Damn you dude. I've been spinning Violent Restitution a lot lately. It's one intense cd. I'm also on a huge James Rivera fix- He's probably my favourite vocalist, besides Halford, of course. NP: Onslaught - Flame Of The Antichrist |
Onslaught. \m/
Sounds like a good show, Motorhead would be awesome to see live. I don't know if I could come up with $130 though. |

I'm guessing it had all of the classics. Speaking of Motorhead I recently got On Parole, which I deemed total crap after listening to it the first time, aside from the title track and Motorhead, but it seems to be growing on me a whole lot more now. Worth the $5 at least :p NP: - Evildead - F.C.I./The Awakening |
I love Vibrator from that album- it makes me laugh everytime. But it is so different (and who's that singing?!)
As for motorhead's set list, i cannot remember it in it entirity, but they finished with In The Name of Tragedy and then Ace Of Spades. I came in a bit late so i guess they could have played any number of songs. NP: Slaughter - ThrAshold of Pain. |

Haha, I thought that the first time I heard it. It's a funny song. I checked the inlay and there's no vocal credits to anybody else aside from Lemmy. You can kinda pick up his voice in the chorus. |
Ey Apocalyptic Raids, how you doin?
Hey, not too bad. Just finished school so I'm pretty pleased. Are you going to see Behemoth play in January? Hobbs are supporting, along with about 5 other bands (including Psycroptic, who you just love :p). |
Hey, that's cool dude. Enjoying being a free man? You get your results in 3 or so weeks, eh? Hope you get the marks you wanted. (And not the ones you deserve :p) Hmm... Hobbs you say? Are they in anyway confirmed to play at this gig? If so i shall be there, if not, then im staying the hell away (your right: i just LOVE psycroptic!).
Are you heading to Dungeon's last gig this Sunday at the Gaelic Club? Should be a decent show, although im not sure who else is playing. Also Pegazus is touring so that should be another gig to check out. (Sorry, i dont know anything else about that one.)
Haha, I thought that the first time I heard it. It's a funny song. It's Lemmy, it's just so entirely different to his vocals on all the other motorhead albums, it's hard to believe he can be anything but gruff. NP: Hexenhaus - A Tribute To Insanity. (Has anyone else heard these guys? Download their first two albums for some incredible progressive thrash. They sound a little like Coroner minus all those little lead flurries. Kind of.) |
Yeah I'm going to Dungeon.
Here are the details for the Hobbs thing. http://livemusic.moshtix.com.au/record.asp?lEventID=7470&caller=moshtix& |
