He was angsty.
Angsty like an emo kid. Seriously, he was such a loser. The little girl's constatnt whining was a lot more annoying tho, but suprisngly, the film was actually good, the majoirty of it anyway.

Ganondorf 07-11-2005 12:53 AM
That kid reminded me of a less badass Jess from the Gilmore Girls...
Who's Jess, Rory's b/f?

Glitterati 07-11-2005 12:54 AM

I might go see it. Tom Cruise can occasionally act, surprisingly. Plus, Dakota Fanning is so cool.

Tangy zizzle 07-11-2005 12:54 AM

He's an ex, i dunno. He might still be fiddlin' with her, I don't watch it anymore.

But he was pretty punk, let me tell you.

She plays the same part in every movie she's in.

Yeah I was surprised with it too. Ol' Tom actually did a some what good job in the film.

Tangy zizzle 07-11-2005 12:56 AM

He was shit.

I can;t wait for the prequel, Ray Ferrier: Begins

br3ad_man 07-11-2005 01:02 AM

Tom: Robbie, no!

em0 boi: Dad, I have to see this.

WTF!?

I would've been better had the son died a stupid death like that.

Dog 07-11-2005 01:08 AM

The son living is my only major complaint about the movie. That was just stupid.

br3ad_man 07-11-2005 01:09 AM

It sure was. The son should have died instead of Tim Robbins. Tim is the man.

The NPC 07-11-2005 01:14 AM

It was weird though that they gave Tim Robbins the character name of Ogilvy who is an astronomer in the book. Also, Ogilvy dies when he is vaporized by the Martians when the first cylinder opens and the Martians emerge.

Dog 07-11-2005 01:15 AM

Tim's character sure was creepy.

Wierd indeed. I dunno why I've never borthered to read the book, I really loved 'The Invisible Man' and 'The Time Machine'.

The NPC 07-11-2005 01:19 AM

Also, if they make another War of the Worlds film; I'd like to be like the book. There have already been two modern adaptions to the novel.

HG Wells is one of my favorite authors.

Glitterati 07-11-2005 01:19 AM

Tim Robbins was in it? Tim is the man x 23.

br3ad_man 07-11-2005 01:21 AM

Morgan was the narrator dude too. The Shawshank Redemption is great.

1800s style. That would be tops.

Dog 07-11-2005 01:23 AM

HG Wells is awesome. I've read The Time Machine, The Invisible Man,The Island of Doctor Moreau, The First Men in the Moon, and The Wheels of Chance. I'd really like to read War Of The Worlds.

Glitterati 07-11-2005 01:25 AM

I'd like to read some old H.G. Wells stuff.

I've been meaning to get back into reading again, and I thought I'd use this summer to start up again.

Yeah, 1894 style in England. That would be awesome.

Ah, kick back time. Time to put in What's Going On by Marvin Gaye.

Zmev 07-11-2005 01:39 AM

Elliott Smith all sounds the same, but it's easy to listen to.

Glitterati 07-11-2005 01:52 AM
