This guy's got the goods.
For sure. |
Where can I find this?
On another note. I just read that James Blunt has a version of I Want You. JAMES BLUNT COVERING DYLAN?!
It's on the Mick Ronson album Heaven and Hull. But it's widely available on P2P networks. Possibly the most mind-boggling thing about that James Blunt cover is that it is one a DRIVE-THRU RECORDS TRIBUTE TO BOB DYLAN! DRIVE-TRHU! AS IN, THE WORST RECORD LABEL EVER. |

I tried to listen to Arcturus' Sham Mirrors, but after just 1.18 songs, it was waaaaay too cheesey. So I put some High On Fire on, but it's still not scratching my metal itch sufficiently. Hmm.

It's the only one I know, but I like it. I can never really get enough of "Hello Operator". [/unsolicited]
Anyway. I've listened to a few of the albums (or odd tracks from them) I've picked up whilst elsewhere, but overall listening to new albums away from home was so uncomfortable I just stuck with things I already knew. So I've recently liked; Seer's Tear - Precious Remarkably good, if hard to find, prog metal, and I'm not much of a prog metal fan. It's got technical bits and a high pitched vocalist, but also memorable songs and some great melodies. I'm still getting to grips with it really, but I like it. Nick Lowe - Jesus of Cool Picked it up cheap on vinyl, pretty much just because of the connection with Costello, and luckily enough I really like it. Even if he does thieve the occasional Beatles melody. Boris - Pink Got this just before I left, so was getting used to this too. It's good - a good mix of all the stuff I like about Boris - but I probably don't like it as much as the other stuff I have. And some more established stuff; The Beatles - Help! The Beatles - Revolver Yusef Lateef - The Blue Yusef Lateef Solomon Burke - Don't Give Up On Me I forget what else. I saw someone digging the Wildhearts in here though, so good. |
Antony & The Johnsons - I'm a bird now
Pure Reason Revolution - Dark Third |
hey tender good to see you back man.

Such a great end of the summer band. It makes me sad though. |
Right now I'm into early Weezer, the Rentals, basically anything connected to Matt Sharp.
