If I get this it will be the first time I've ever posted myself playing.
Sorry, had to nitpick.

Oh yeah. Technically that wasn't me since I'm a guitarist and all I posted was a drum machine track.

:amaze: So S_F played guitar? My apologies, I was wrong.

i just learned the song The Mortal Coil by the Band Carcass. its an easy and great song... i've learnt it in half an hour... the main riffs and melodies...not the solos or bridges (who are boring *g*).

PsychoticFlubber 02-15-2006 07:37 PM

I'm curious to know if anyone has any video recordings instead. If anyone has any actual videos of them playing anything off of HCDR, that would be cool to see.

it usually one takes me 10-20 minutes for learning a new song.

Do you want me to make one?

^^^Dude, go learn a Liquid Tension Experiement/Dream Theater/Cacophony song in 10 mins plz.

PsychoticFlubber 02-15-2006 07:52 PM
Do you want me to make one?
If you want that'd be awsome. It doesn't need to be an entire song, just enough to hear the main parts I guess. I need to improve my playing badly because I have only learned up to the first solo of Sixpounder, and I need to see where everyone else is on their playing.

MRDuCran 02-15-2006 07:53 PM

Well I just fukkin realised, my pc is sooo gay, it's got like 1mb left on C:, I can't describe my anger so I can't even run movie maker to record one!!!!!!!!!!!
 AARRGGHH.

I can play Sixpounder, most of Chokehold, some of Bodom Beach Terror, I'm practising part of the solo for You're Better Off Dead, I know the lead "riff" in Triple Corpse Hammerblow, and most of HCDR.
I haven't really bothered with Lil Bloodred Ridin Hood or Angels Don't Kill.
Needled 24/7 I don't know perfectly.

As I've stated before, I kidna went on a Bodom learning spree.

I have the "official" GW tabs for Needled 24/7 which I can give you. Alexi did these, or at least helped GW with these because he did that with his first column with them. So nothing is incorrect. If you can give me your e-mail, I can send it to you tomorow.

MRDuCran 02-15-2006 08:06 PM

Awesome man, cheers.
kirkhammettlive @ hotmail.com

I got those We're Not Gonna Fall tabs from you but they won't print...
My printer is fine, but when I go to do those, it just throws out a blank piece of paper. Ahhh, I've yet to try my plan, I'll get back to you on that actually.

Shadows 02-15-2006 10:17 PM

Haha, I still have yet to learn a full Bodom song instead of 10000+ odd riffs. I probably know a part or so from everything they've ever written. After I get my two current songs down I'll finally start learning Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood like I've been saying I have, then probably Hate Me!/something else from Follow the Reaper.

MRDuCran 02-15-2006 10:47 PM

Btw, I looked at both the tabs for Universal Mind, and technically they're both wrong. The one that has the correct fingerings is the one that doesn't involves the B string but it's notated at legato, but JP picks everything.

Shadows 02-15-2006 10:53 PM

I was wondering about that. Picking every note would certainly be tougher and take longer to learn, but I always prefer to pick every note than to play it legato. I can adjust that. Luckily I picked up the one with the correct fingering.

Can I have that aswell, I've been wanting to learn that song for a while?

MRDuCran 02-16-2006 07:12 AM

I got Trashed, Lost and Strungout DVD through today.
It's pretty cool since I have Downfall and Everytime I Die live at Tuska on DVD.
The Trashed, Lost and Strungout video, Sixpounder video, Trashed, Lost in Helsinki and some Andrew W.K interview thing, which is ghey.
The audio songs aren't bad either , I quite like Knuckleduster and Bed of Nails.

kurrpt 02-16-2006 08:13 AM

dude, i got VERY good tabs for universal mind if you want it. Its from JP website :thumb:

MRDuCran 02-16-2006 08:15 AM

Cheers man. I actually already know most of Paradigm Shift, I just can't play it up to speed. I should really get back into JP, he = awesome.

I like Peace of Mind by Cooley, it's rather amazing.
Someone uploaded one of his videos but first it's was Real Player and I don't have that secondly, I didn't have enough hard drive space to download it so I missed out. I've seen Rock Discipline though.
