I"d like to play flaminco. Seems mad hard, as well as actually two hand tap something.

Espbassor 10-05-2004 12:35 PM

Well make up your mind now, either way it's $10 to go there, do you have the money or not?

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:36 PM

They are both sooo easy its funny. I love when people are awed by it, cause I'm thinking "hey anyone can do this!"

Heaven is a land where all bass guitars are custom-build and free

I just need songs to give structure to my two handed tapping. I am lost when it comes to flamenco.... which leads me to...
Recomendations for tapping songs?

I used some lessons on activebass.net I think to get me started with tapping. I think there is one that is like the wooten bass camp practice..thingy...either way its really good. Also, DMV will help build up tapping with your fingering hand. Star Spangled Banner by Stu Hamm is also pretty good for both hands. Of course Overjoyed by Wooten is a nice tapped piece. :thumb:

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:42 PM

Primus. Jerry was a racecar driver

Espbassor 10-05-2004 12:42 PM

As well as those 2 suggestions :D

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:44 PM

Experiment and do stuff with it. Try taking a song and tapping it

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:44 PM

I've been looking into DMV and Jerry. I don't have any Hamm to get timings from, or know if I was playing it correctly.

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:45 PM

Whats DMV

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:45 PM

A Primus song.

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:47 PM

Oh yeah sorry. I know the one you mean. Thanks

Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:48 PM

The next song i am learning is ToastMachine Funk the world

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:48 PM

Speaking of Primus... who else likes "Southbound Pachyderm"?

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 12:48 PM
The next song i am learning is ToastMachine Funk the world
Accentopus 10-05-2004 12:55 PM

ShelBel 10-05-2004 01:01 PM

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:01 PM

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:03 PM

Limbo.....On the border....Of heaven and hell

ShelBel 10-05-2004 01:03 PM

Well f*ck this then!

*storms out of Purgatory*

I still don't get how I can end up somewhere I don't believe exists, but oh well. Back to the land of the living with me!

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:05 PM

Believe in it, or suffer the wrath of god

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:06 PM

Just because you don't believe it exists doesn't mean that it isn't real. Although reality is all in the mind, according to George Orwell's book 1984.

PaulSimonon 10-05-2004 01:06 PM

If I believe that you are not real, are you real?

Accentopus 10-05-2004 01:08 PM
