RetiredAt21 03-10-2008 02:04 PM

Kite Flying Society is awesome. The singer says "and" way too much, though. It's funny, you'll hear it once you get around to listening to them.

Txus 03-10-2008 02:09 PM

I'm downloading Jochem at the moment.

The Red Scare

The Assistant

RetiredAt21 03-10-2008 02:17 PM

I can never find any The Assistant albums. Someone please help me out.

And Joshua Fit For Battle rules.

Txus 03-10-2008 02:18 PM

Louise Cyphre are ****ing awesome, one of the best bands of the genre.

Can someone send me some The Apoplexy Twist Orchestra? I've always wanted to listen to them but I never found any links.

Dimmu Burger 03-10-2008 02:19 PM

I don't have a lot of actual emo, but I like a lot of emo influenced stuff like Emery and Anberlin etc.

You should listen to better bands. Not trying to be a dick, just saying. Real emo bands are way better than that stuff.

beans 03-10-2008 02:21 PM

i like emery :(

I have some Sunny Day Real Estate and old Jimmy Eat World and its ok, but I like the newer poppier stuff honestly.

RetiredAt21 03-10-2008 02:23 PM

Sunny Day is borderline emo and Jimmy Eat World isn't emo at all. You should check out Saetia or something.

Older Jimmy Eat World is emo and I was also told that SDRE were pioneers of emo.

santi3hg 03-10-2008 02:25 PM

Lol no he shouldn't if he liked the poppier stuff.

And yeah I was referring to iamrockzorz when I said Jim in my earlier post.

And Sunnyday being pioneers of emo is a huge exaggeration for what they played and etc. Jimmy Eat World has always and will be a indie/rock type of band. No way close to emo.

Saetia did a lot for emo.

You heard wrong. Again, not trying to be a dick if I sound like one.

Txus 03-10-2008 02:25 PM

Listen to the bands Whiteminority posted, all of them are pretty rad.

Dimmu Burger 03-10-2008 02:26 PM

Nah dude its cool. I guess I was misinformed. I'll take some Saetia if you got some though. Enlighten me!

Check out their myspace and tell me if you like that and I'll upload something later, I'm feeling a bit lazy right now.

RunAmokRampant 03-10-2008 02:38 PM

My computer doesn't have any speakers at work, so I'll have to check em out later.

encmetalhead 03-10-2008 02:51 PM

Anyone esle hear the new A Skylit Drive demo on their purevolume? The new singer is a lot better the the old one and it sounds like they got heavier

RetiredAt21 03-10-2008 03:33 PM

Yeah, someone should get on that.

ZaaR 03-10-2008 03:36 PM
