No, it was a Swedish band called P-Floyd.

Hedgedive 11-18-2006 10:07 PM

original name. :smoke:

I Was A Kaleidoscope 11-19-2006 05:07 AM

original indeed.

P-Money?

i don't like tribute bands.
i don't like cover bands.
my dad's in a cover band.
how about being artistic and original instead of being crap and playing someone else's songs all the time.
that'd get really boring.
isn't this a musician forum?
yes

Had a flat party last night and hooked up ipods to run through my amp. I created a playlist for it, and it was so cool to see it come together so nicely and get everyone dancing. I had no idea that there was such a thing as a successfull house party.

Oh, except when the long haired Pantera-shirt-wearing guy thought it would be ok if he switched over the music. Gah, we were dancing away to De La Soul and heard this mess of guitar wankery......metal should be banned from outside people's bedrooms.

team_racket 11-19-2006 09:14 AM

hahahaha ah thats uni i guess. you get people open to any music, then some metalheads who just wont shut up about metallica.

Bukowski 11-19-2006 09:41 AM

Kyle: that's cool, good to hear about Cardiff. I looked at their website and yeah, looks like it would be good. Journalism, Film and Media is probably the course I'd be applying for, and I meet the requirements (only just ;)). And good night-life is a must, hence why London is my first choice and not St. Andrews or something.

Have fun buying booze for all your underage friends. :chug:

Little Man being Erased 11-19-2006 09:01 PM

I went to see The Prestige the other day. And goddamn it was excellent.

Glitterati 11-19-2006 10:49 PM

That movie gets an automatic ten from me for having Scarlett Johansson in a corset. God damn.

Speaking of that, I just got back from seeing Casino Royale. It would take too long for me to mention all my favorite parts, so I will just say it was really really ridiculously good.

Yeah, I took off half a point because the corset didn't come off. God damn.

Hmmm, good you say? I wasn't sure whether it would be worth seeing or not. But maybe I will check it out.

I hope it is just a 2 hour poker game. That would rule.

Zmev 11-19-2006 11:54 PM

It was great.

FA 11-20-2006 02:41 AM
So tonight I saw a Pink Floyd tribute band. With pew pew-lasers, smoke, trippy guitar solos and all that. It was good stuff.
My dad and brother saw Aussie Pink Floyd last night, and apparently it was ridic. I'm pretty upset that they came to Atlanta while I was at school.

And about Lupe, his album is the way, the truth, and the light.

YDload 11-20-2006 06:54 PM

ok guys the word from above is that every forum gets its own "report problems/ ask the mods" thread

but do we really need one in A/I? hardly anything even happens here except genre debates and flaming Tool fans.

if you got a question just ask it here, I think me or zappa will notice :)

Little Man being Erased 11-20-2006 06:59 PM

Yeah, I don't think we need a specific thread for that stuff.

sweboy 11-20-2006 07:04 PM

We're too indie and sophisticated for a thread like that.
