I think Diamonds and Guns became semi-popular because it was used on that tv advert
on the garnier ad, but i love the drum fill travis does before the chorus. :thumb: |
i wonder when the plus-44 site will be up
|
oh soz by the website i mean the actual website not just the front page and message board
|
it will probably be when they finish the record.
|
when the record probably ages.

I havnt heard anything at all from Tom but im not such a big fan of Travis aye. Although all the official statements from the band have all had the same 'Indefinite Hiatus' PR bollocks all over it T-ravis is the only one thats said anything like 'blink 182, as far as I am concerned, is over'. How much more negative can you get?? The only way blink are gonna be back is if they find somebody new or if they magically work out the kinks with Scott. Which in itself is doubtful. Soooooo, who could replace Travis as drummer if blink 182 ever reformed for another tour to publicise the forthcoming Greatest Hits package?

So many drummers would be down to join blink-182 if they said they needed another one. They probably wouldn't have any problem finding one. |
I'm only a relatively new Blink fan, (I'm not gonna lie and say I got Cheshire Cat when I was 3 or something) I got the s/t album for my birthday in 2003 and since then they have become my favourite band.
|
I guess so, if Tre had nothing on he could probably do it. Be a step backwards musically but im not sure theyd be able to find many drummers in SoCal punk land better than Travis.
|
If blink make a greatest hit, they should it should be a live gig or something. Like Mark Tom and Travis show, thats like a greatest hits of the first 4 albums, and its the best album i think, even if it does sound over edited.

ask it in the drum forum, they will tell you exactly the same thing.
|
I dont know where the hell all this talk about a new drummer has come from. Travis has never once said he's out of the band, to my knowledge.

|

lol, that's funny because a lot of people honestly have done that. I've listened to them since 1997, but didn't actually own any of their CD's until late '99/early '00 and that's when they definately became my favorite band. Hell, that's when I started getting into music period. Before that, I knew of like 5 bands, blink, Green Day, Offspring, Backstreet Boys, N' Sync, and I only liked the first three. What horrible days those were for me!
I guess so, if Tre had nothing on he could probably do it. Everyone who I know in the IE area who drums seems to be into nothing but hardcore and death metal. Take away their double bass and they are lost.
put down your favourite blink 182 song ill start off dick lips
Lemmings or Apple Shampoo, can't decide. |
i think enema is most young peoples first pop-punk album
ill be honest i used to listen to extreme hardcore until i bought feeli this in 04 and i started listin to gd, blink, offspring, my chemical romance and stuff like that now pop punk is my favourite music. still listen to rock and metal though |

You mean pop-punk..? |
This is my first time in this forum, and I think Blink 182 isn't great, but Travis Barker is in fact listed as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time, and I've been listening to him in BLink, Transplants, and Boxcar, I want to see him in Plus 44. But I would have to say, until their un-titled album, Blink's songs limited Travis' talents. He holds the world record for the fastest single stroke roll. (drum vocab). And even though Tom and Mark plays like 4 chords per song, they're hilarious.

Tre VS Travis
tre is a better all round drummer then travis. :thumb:
Tre's nothing compared to Travis, no one can replace Travis, except like 5, and some of them are dead or too old, I think. Tre has never recieved the Greatest Drummer of the Year award or doesnt hold the world record for the fastest single stroke roll. My 11 year old brother can plays better than Tre. |
